Is armory crate on or off by defualt?

It's not installed by default however the first time I powered on my computer after installing this motherboard (asus rog strix z590-e) there was a notification/window that popped up in the bottom right of my computer monitor after I signed in. If you don't want it to pop up anymore there's an option in bios to make it stop. Just go to "Tool" in bios then "ASUS Armoury Crate" then where it says "download and install asus armoury crate app" change it to disabled or whatever. Then when exiting bios select save changes and reset. It doesn't reset anything.. not sure why it's worded like that because it's more like save changes and exit. I installed the app though and haven't had any issues.

Question 2

Hey, Is there a reason why i dont see 2 of my WD nvme M.2 drive ?
Using Intel 10th gen 10700k, but i thought it would still be available at lower speeds.
The other gen3 (2) nvme M.2 works fine, from Samsung.

I am waiting for my MB to arrive next week. I found this from the ASUS support site:

M.2_1 slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280/22110 
- Only Intel® 11th Core™ processors support PCIe 4.0 x4 mode, this slot will be disabled for other CPUs

M.2_2 slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280/22110
- Intel® 11th processors support PCIe 4.0 x4 mode
- Intel® 10th processors support PCIe 3.0 x4 mode
M.2_3 slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280/22110 (supports PCIe 3.0 x4 mode)
M.2_4 slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280 (supports PCIe 3.0 x4 & SATA modes)*
*When M.2_4 is operating in SATA device, SATA6G_2 will be disabled.

When I build my system, I plan to put my 2 M.2 drives in spots 2&3. Eventually, when I upgrade to a Gen 11 chip, I will move something into spot 1.

Please let me know  if I am correct in my thinking (That the first M.2 slot is only accessible if you have the 11th Generation Intel chip).

Does this board suffer from the intel network firmware issues of all of the other Asus boards?

This motherboard supports Intel - Core i5-10400 10th Generation 6-Core - 12-Thread - 2.9 GHz (4.3 GHz Turbo) Socket LGA1200 Locked Desktop Processor??

It should, I've used the Z590-E gaming wifi motherboard with the Intel Core i9-10850K.  But note that the 10th gen CPUs offer less PCIe lanes than the 11th gen CPUs so you won't be able to take advantage of all the PCIe lates/M.2 slots on the motherboard (the breakdown is in the MB user guide).

Does this support PCIe bifurcation? If paid support sees this, please start marking advanced motherboard features like PCIe bifurcation, memory isolation capabilities, etc. These things may or may not be in the manual.

does a ddr4 3200 ram work with this?

if i use all the M.2 slots, will the SATA slots be available? i ask this because in the older generations, when you plugged the M.2, 2 SATA slots were disabled.

When using all the M.2 slots, some of the SATA slots will be disabled. Specifically, when the M.2_4 slot is operating in SATA mode, SATA6G_2 will be disabled. Additionally, when PCIe16_3 is populated, SATA_56 will be disabled. When PCIe16_3 runs at default x2 mode, SATA_56 is enabled.

Question 9

Is the onboard USB-C port thunderbolt 3 capable or do I have to install a separate Thunderbolt card to the PCie?
