Pros: I love this tablet. After you get rid of the bloatware from ASUS, the netbook boots up fast. The battery life is really long at 5 hours. I can pretty much play most DVD quality H264 files in VLC with some lag. After I reinstalled win7, I didn't get any lag at all. I tried watching 720p h264 files, but it's a bit laggy and VLC produces a lot of video artifacts. I used MKV containers with AAC audio to test these. Other than that, I love the 32 GB SSD. With a netbook like this, I'm surprised the Ipad can sell so well. Also, you can put the netbook to sleep with the magnets on the front of it, all you have to do is slowly swipe the stylus across the bottom part of the screen and Win7 goes into standby. It's like magic.
Cons: Wish it had a better CPU and GPU, those are currently the only limiting factor on this netbook. The battery is also deep inside the netbook, so you'd have to take the thing apart to replace it. Also, for some reason my rotate screen button doesn't work, probably because I uninstalled the touchgate software, but I don't think it worked out of the box. Multitouch is supported, but it's not like all programs support it. Ms paint supports it, but Window's Journal does not. The Extra touch applications that come with the Win7, not the Asus programs, are pretty laggy. Kinda depressing because some of them are microsoft surface programs that recognize multitouch.
Overall Review: You need to calibrate the screen with windows, not Asus's stuff.
Pros: -Only 400$!!! -Stylish -Everything is sturdy -Keyboard feels good to type on if you use it -Comes with drivers disk -32gb internal ssd, 2 sd slots -4-5+ hour battery depending on use -Very lightweight -Bluetooth -Good responsive touchscreen -Plays flash games, youtube, etc -100% silent, no fans or HDD -Comes with a good quality sleeve, fits nicely snug -Text is actually very easy to read -Surfs the web as fast as a desktop -Handwriting recognition is actually good after calibrating. Its fairly accurate and fast. For people who may think it lags, you can adjust how long the computer waits before it turns your handwriting into text, and when you have it set right, its a nice experience -Very easy to install ram, only unscrew 2 screws -Don't let the specs and reviews give you doubts. This netbook is actually quite speedy and I feel little to no lag at all from the touchscreen. This machine is great, I definitely recommend it if you need a keyboard with your tablet!!!
Cons: -LED indicators are kind of bright while using in dark room -Screen is a bit grainy but not horrible -Fingerprint magnet -Chokes on flash games with medium to high graphics -1gb memory, but can be upgraded to 2gb -Bloatware
Overall Review: I recommend a clean install of windows. If you don't want to spend money buying a new OS disk, you can download windows via google and use the windows key that's on the bottom of the netbook. When you have the windows files (2.32gb space needed) you can either put them on a dvd and get a external dvd player, put them on an SD, or create a partition and boot to whatever has the installation files on them. I did this using a partition. You may want a external drive for your driver disk or move the files to an SD. They keyboard keys are the width of my finger and height of my fingernail. Its not too difficult to type on if you use it. If you upgrade the ram, make sure its compatible, and get a single 2gb stick, not an additional 1gb stick, as there is only 1 slot for memory. The ram I used is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148233 and it does work. Wish I had more room to write!
Pros: The touchscreen works really well on the internet, MS office, and browsing/copying/pasting/files/folders etc. It easily replaces the mouse in a way no little touchpad ever has. I havent used it for handwriting programs (Ive read other reviews that dont like it), but it works decently for drawing because it is more precise than I expected. The SSD is very fast, was nervous about it because my old eePC 900 had a painfully slow SSD. This also has one 32G drive on mini PCI-e instead of split drives. Second SD slot has a rubber cover making it feel more like an actual HD expansion, while the other one is more accessible for transferring files. Full version of Win7 is pretty sweet.
Cons: Intel GMA 500 wont handle much. I was hoping to run an N64 emulator, but it can only handle it in a 320X240 window making it playable but to small to see well. SNES emulators run perfectly at 512X448 though.
Overall Review: Windows Experience Index: Processor 1.9 Ram 4.2 Graphics 2.9 Gaming graphics 2.3 Primary HD 5.9 The numbers arent impressive but for typical netbook usage it feels pretty quick to me. If you are using your netbook for much more than the web and word processing you can probably get a bigger/more powerful laptop for a comparable price. The eeePC is incredibly small and light, that is the real advantage to it. I upgraded to 2g of RAM after a week but didnt notice any real improvement.
Pros: This little machine is UBER-portable. It easily fits in my travel hip-pouch and in my work lunchbag. The screen is quite readable on default setting. The brightness is good for indoor use, alright in daylight. The CPU is fast enough for web use, office work and light graphical use. On full power mode it handles my movie files fine, even when playing off a SD card.. The hinge is EXTREMELY strong and very well built. The touchpad works as expected. The controls and function shortcuts are easy to learn. Even on full power mode this unit doesn't get too hot either.
Cons: The CPU slows down a bit when in tablet mode and it gets choppy during some youtube viewing however it still handles my movies well. The battery really does last 5 hrs, but only if you tell it to go to power-saving mode. Super fast mode gets only about 3 hrs... which still isn't bad. Not really a con, but you should know in advance. The one drawback for me comes with the territory, that is, the small keyboard. I'm writing this review on the 91MT right now. It isn't too bad but as a 6'0" tall husky guy the keys are easily mispunched at times. Not terrible, but definitely smaller than my desktop keyboard. Also, the HD could be bigger.
Overall Review: You're buying this for its' fantastic portability. I've carried it in my lunchbag, my car's glovebox, the leg pocket in my REI cargo pants and INSIDE my clipboard's compartment. This thing fits and travels where others can't. My favorite feature? Watching the iPhad junkies jaws drop when I turn my tablet into a *real* computer in a blink of an eye. Also, Windows 7 is a very easy jump from Windows XP so I found it very intuitive. Another plus, you can rotate the screen but leave it angled up (not in tablet mode) and it fits in even the crappiest economy seat tray table! Yup, I love this little machine. It does what I ask. I didn't expect some kind of ultragaming machine, just something I can carry around the house or travel with without breaking the bank or my pocket (did I mention how ridiculously light it is?) The only improvements would be a slightly better HD, denser screen, more RAM and a longer battery... otherwise this little guy rocks!
Pros: Its small, 9 inches total. Its pretty and the tablet feature is AWESOME! For once there is a stable post XP operating system in Windows 7. Its quite fast to start and shutdown. The solid state hard drive is a great choice for file archiving and retrieval, due to the lack of moving parts. Due to its small size and lack of optical drive (CD, DVD drive), there is no need for a fan, which makes it one of the most quiet pc's on the market now. The machine is built in a very sturdy manner and you don't have to worry about the hinge for the screen coming off and potentially destroying the netbook/ tablet....oh yeah WEBACAM! I know that all netbooks on the market have one now but it is still worth mentioning just because its a cool idea. As it seems right now, the battery life is really good. And the price was very good too!!!
Cons: 1. Doesn't cook breakfast...Asus should work on that. It can be a little slow at times, but its an 1.33 GHz mini processor; so its expected. It can handle the basic functions for which anyone would use a computer this size (I'm using it to type this review), just don't try to do something resource heavy like video editing. The lack of a 3rd USB port/ introduction of a second card (SD) reader is both a blessing and a curse. Its good because you can extend the limitations of a 32GB hard disk that are running modern day programs (meaning that fully installed will take ~1GB of space) by adding an larger SDHC card if you choose to and also insert your SD card of choice for photo transfers. Now the problem with the lack of the 3rd USB port is that you might be limited when using something like an external optical drive because most will need two ports for high level operation (one for data and one for power) but this really isn't as bad as it seems.
Overall Review: IT DOES HAVE BLUETOOTH! I've used it. There is a slight design oddity with this model. The USB ports are on opposite sides of the computer. According to this design, you either need a USB extension cable or an AC wall adapter for it, but this is just for high powered uses, not normal disc read (or write maybe...try one). I would suggest that anyone buying this also buy an external DVD+/- RW drive. Some people have upgraded the RAM to 2Gb but I don't think its completely necessary. PC 6400 (800 MHz) if you do. One the BEST things about ASUS is that they give a one year (at least, I think) subscription to their online storage system. This will allow you to extend the 32GB hard drive to ~532 GB of space for at least a year Calibration can be tricky with the stylus. I hope ASUS looks at these, I'd suggest moving the disk expander down (side where AC goes) enough to add a 3rd USB port. I honestly believe in this and wish others well. Pros: i had eee pc 901 before, so i decide to buy the same size of portable netbook tablet. - Great battery life.... - Runs nice and quiet cool. - SSD is fast. -keyboard: size is fine - Design: very nice-looking netbook. - I tested full screen vevo video at "miley cyrus - when i look at you". The video plays fine video. Then i upgrade to 2gb RAM, it helps. - The touch screen is very good because it doesn't get fingerprinted very easily. - i uninstalled most useless programs and installed full version of office 2007 ultimate, malwarebyte, microsoft security essential and spybot 1.62 with teatimer engine. I recommend you turned off TeaTimer before you run full screen high quality video. Antivirus background engine takes cpu resource. - Performance: The computer boots and is running fast. I don't see any CPU sluggish problem because taking few seconds to load something is normal. Opening office2007 takes less than 4 seconds. opening outlook 2007 takes 2-4 seconds. -Screen:8'9 is p
Cons: None
Overall Review: I haven't fully tested the touch screen. The reason i pick this netbook because the size, weight, and battery. A netbook with 8.9" should not weight more than 2.4pound. A 10" netbook should not weight more than 2.7 pounds. They must have at least 5 hours battery. Since i owned a eee pc 901, so 8.9" is perfect size. Lenovo s10-3t is too heavy. It defeats the purpose of portable. When you travel, you might carry other thing beside the netbook. So i try to get something very portable. My job is technical relate, so a full OS is better for me. I also write computer programming sometimes. This is the reason i don't buy IPAD. SOmetimes, when i read pdf, i would like to open office word and copy down the major notes and paste into word. I don't know if ipad can do it since it has no multitasking. This is a best netbook tablet for reading, write, research, internet, online-chat, youtube, and more. I like asus netbook, the best.
Pros: - Good touch response - Perfect weight IMO - Good battery life given size and weight - Great use of real estate - Single swipe of the stylus to go into standby
Cons: - Gloss finish - EVERY finger print shows up - USB port locations - Needed to use USB extension cable for my external, USB powered, DVD burner - 1 GB of memory
Overall Review: - Keyboard is a little difficult to use, but I have big hands. I knew this going in. I bought this as a tablet, not a netbook, so it doesn't matter much. - Windows 7 handles touch well. A very good choice of an OS on Asus' part. - Couldn't get the touch screen to work under Ubuntu. The T91 and T91MT use different touch screens, and there's no support for the T91MT yet. My solution was to use VirtualBox on my main PC, then use mstsc under Windows 7 to connect remotely. Works like a charm, and I get more processing and memory out of the deal.

Pros: Got this to replace my old eeePC 900 16G, so that's my standard of comparison - Great battery life....I get better life than advertised. - Runs nice and cool. - SSD is fast and responsive. - Nice range and speed on the 802.11g! - I like the improvements they've done with the keyboard....it has a much better feel. - The touch screen doesn't get fingerprinted very easily.
Cons: - Yeah, it's a fingerprint magnet, oh well. - I can also confirm that the touch screen seems to lose its calibration a bit, but it's only ever been off for me by a millimeter or so...nothing major. - My 900 had better-sounding speakers, but I rarely use them anyways! - Shoulda come with 2GB from the factory, but the upgrade is cheap enough.
Overall Review: - As for the bloatware...it goes with the territory. I fully expect having to deal with such stuff whenever I buy a new system. - The default config of Windows 7 is just too much for that poor little Atom proc and Intel video. But that's a pretty quick fix. - Amusing that this machine came with the exact same sleeve that my 900 did! And the funny thing is that the T91 is noticeably thinner, so the sleeve is way loose. Silly Asus...
