Will this board be able to handle the 3900X?

I am running the 3900 right now without any issues. According to ASUS website, it supports all Ryzen 3rd CPUS up to the high end 3900X. I cant post the link to the support page by ASUS, Newegg blocks helpful links!!!

Question 2

Just purchased this and can't boot, keep getting VGA LED light. Does this board not have onboard graphics so I can plug my monitor right into the Mobo? There is an HDMI port in the I/o panel but regardless of whether I have a video card slotted, I keep getting the VGA light and can't boot at all.

You can't boot off the onboard graphics if your processor has no onboard graphics. Only the 2200g, 2400g, and 3400g have graphics as far as I know.

NVMe or SATA m.2 drives will work as a boot drive in either of the two slots.

I have a Radeon r9 390 video card that uses a PCIe 3.0 x16 interface. I'm looking to buy this mobo with the Ryzen 7 3800X CPU (which I'm assuming is a 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen processor). According to the specs of this mobo, does that mean my video card will not be compatible because of the processor or am I reading into it wrong? I see there's a slot on the board but the specs make me think it'll only work if the processor is a certain version/generation.

PCIE slots and most PCIE devices are retrocompatible, so your video card will work but will be limited to PCIE 3.0 speeds instead of PCIE 4.0, this will not affect performance as there is no consumer grade graphics card that needs more bandwidth than what a PCIE 3.0 x16 slot can provide, so yes, you can use PCIE 1.0 to PCIE 4.0 devices on this motherboard/cpu combo without any issues

Are you able to replace the wifi with a different kind?

You can use usb wifi adapters. But the one that is built into the mother board is permanent. Not recommend to try to remove. The manual doesnt say what type of wifi chips are compatible.

I'm planning on buying a new motherboard for my new-build does this have bio flashback?

you can either flash it with usb drive or if you have network plugged in, you can actually ez flash in the bios without any skills or prep. super nice. You'll want to make sure you download the AMD chipset drivers for this board though before you start your build. I had issues with the wifi module causing driver imcompatibility and crashes.

Will the board run DDR4 memory at 3600 while using a Ryzen 9 3900X?  The specs on the Asus webpage do NOT list 3600 under the 3rd Gen Ryzen Section.

Yes.  I have this board, with a Ryzen 9 3900X and G.Skill DDR4-3600 CL16 32GB (8x4GB) RAM kit.  I had some issues posting with the XMP settings, but when I bumped the voltage by .01 it seemed to work fine.  I did start running into stability issues at 3800 MHz using my RAM kit at 1.49V with tighter timings.  I think it may more be related to my Fabric Clock being unable to do 1900MHz rather than the board itself.

I just ordered this mobo the other day as it seemed to offer the best bang for the buck. my question is about power supplies .I see this mobo has both an 8 pin and a 4 pin power plug in and am trying to figure out if all the newer power supplies listed offer the 4 pin as well as the 8 pin plug ins. i see there are the 4+4 pin plug ins but only found a couple of power supplies that offer 2 sets of power plug ins, must I buy one of those? I wanted to get the thermaltake RGB Zero smart fan 850 watt p supply but it only shows the one 4+4 power plug config
