Does this motherboard support SSD?

Yes it does. I received mine last week and it is running WIN10 currently with no issues. Did have to reset the CMOS battery to fix a booting issue but other than that it works fine with my SSD

Does this board support booting from M.2 internal SSD?

I installed a Samsung 1TB SSD in my system and it all works fine. I didn't install any spinning drives at all. Hope this helps.

Can I use a Core i5 4690k CPU with this motherboard? PC part picker says they aren't compatible.

No you cannot, the CPU socket is different on this motherboard, that CPU is a LGA 1150 and this motherboard has a LGA 1151 socket

Does it have an wifi adapter on the motherboard or you have to buy one ?

I do not think so.  I use a hardwired network connection.  No WiFi interface is mentioned on the /us/Motherboards/Z170-PRO-GAMING-AURA/specifications/

Is this box supposed to have a seal holding it shut?

Mine did not. A little disappointed but everything was in the box and sealed bags. I was worried but upon inspection of the motherboard, everything looked in order and perfect.

Does it have a 4-pin RGB header? Where is it located on the board?

No one has answered WHERE it is located on the board.  I just completed a build with this board, and cannot find a 4 pin RGB connection anywhere.  Manual doesn't mention it, can't find it on the board.  Would like to sync the RGB Ram on it.

Question 7

is anyone running 16gb sticks of ram on this board ? The QVL has very limited options when it comes to 16GB sticks of Ram. I'm looking to buy this board and pair it up with either F4-3333C16D-32GVK or F4-3466C16D-32GTZ.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

I am using dual 8GB Corsair RAM sticks.  The mobo website has a memory 'qualified vendor list' which shows known working RAM.  Other RAM may work but is not tested or guaranteed.  Newegg won't allow me to post a url.  You want the qualified vendor list for this mobo in file
        Z170_DDR4_4DIMM_memory_QVL_report160829.pdf

To get it do a Google search for "ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming/AURA" which will take you to the Asus page for the mobo and look for the Support link and then the Memory/Device Support tabs to find the qualified vendor memory list.

Is the red line shielding area only a red light or is it customizable to display a different color? If it's not customizable, can it be turned off?

Mine is on all the time. The provided software does not have settings to change the color or turn it off. Even with the mainboard lights turned off, it remains on. It is not very bright at all though.
