ATRIX PSCI-480 480W ATX Power Supply

Pros: I've had this psu for about 2 years now and it's still running solid from the first day i received it.

Cons: This psu is 20 pins and only 12v so do not expect this to run a later generation motherboard like am2. this should be used for older systems only

Overall Review: I bought over 2 1/2 years ago and the price used to be $40. It was cheap for its time and its even cheaper today.

Pros: Quiet, cool, simple and easy installation, no problems thus far.

Pros: Cheap. Cann't say much more than that.

Cons: Where to start. First, there was a fair amount of RFI leakage that my sound soud speakers picked up on and the resulting high tone made sitting near the PC for more than an hour unbearable. Second, the PC this PSU was installed in runs 24/7. After a mere 6 weeks, I had to shutdown the desktop to add additional memory, when I powered up I smeleed burning electronics. I shut down the PC and that was the end. Opened up the PSU and found a Variable Potentiameter had fried itself. Replaced PSU with a $50 PSU, no more RFI bleed or smoke. Third, cheap price = cheap construction.

Overall Review: Stay away, spend a little more now instead of a lot more later.

Pros: It can run 7800gs without problems. Very stable. The fan blows a lot of air.

Cons: this is an old psu. It only has 20 pins, 12v rail only has 18amps. Don't expect this to run an am2 mobo and an 8800.

Overall Review: The reliability of this product is outstanding but it's near obselete. I still give this a 5 because of the price and how long this thing is working without problems.

Overall Review: I've had the Atrix 480W PSU since June 20, 2005. I am amazed at how long it has lasted because my pc/server demands a lot of power with the number of DVDs I burn daily, usually having to access almost every hard drive on the computer. I rarely power off my computer because it also serves as a web server. Since installing the Atrix PSU, the server has been powered off only 4 or 5 times when I needed to get into the case. Uptime is well over 99.9%. My configuration is: (1) 2.8GHz P4 1536MB PC3200 RAM (2x512 + 2x256) (6) internal hard drives (2) internal DVD burners (1) Travan tape backup drive (1) ASUS PCI vid capture card (1) PCI IDE adapter card FX 5500 256MB graphics card

Pros: Works Great powerfull enough to handle all my components w/o any delay

Overall Review: Should of bought 2

Pros: Just installed it with minor modifications... so far, computer is running like a champ on it

Cons: had a close call with one connector not seating on 2 of my hard drives totally. Didn't know about it until I trie to boot, and it deemed my RAIDs as non functional

Overall Review: Definately a good choice if one is wanting a cheap and yet strong supply... I was running a 400 and constantly kept being knocked off... Now, the lag is gone and the video card runs flawlessly

Pros: Works like it should. Easy installation, decent fan. No BSOD from lacking power.
