Pros: I was impressed by the image (this is my first flat screen TV). It was straight-forward to set up. No dead pixels or lines across the screen.
Cons: The first thing I noticed was that the front frame was damaged in the corners. It does not appear to have damaged the screen material in any way, however, I did expect to get an intact piece of equipment. If this happened during shipping, or if this is a refurbished / open-box item that Auria repackaged as a new item, I cannot say. - Also, as I was setting it up, I heard parts moving behind the screen, which didn't seem normal. After looking down the back with a flashlight, I couldn't see anything loose, so it probably was cabling readjusting itself as I turned it over. - There is definite shadowing during fast-moving scenes and in games. If you're looking for a high-performance flat screen, this isn't it. However, if you're looking for a good all-round TV that just needs to be an average HD TV, then this is a good buy. - There are no S-Video inputs. Not a big deal, just be sure that your other equipment supports HDMI or Component video. - Does not come with any HDMI or Component c
Overall Review: Price-Value ratio => 5 Eggs ================= For the price I don't think it can get much better. Performance => 3 Eggs =============== Considering everything, I wouldn't expect much more than average performance from a TV in this price range, resulting in an average rating. Quality => 2 Eggs =========== The front frame is made of cheap, thin plastic. Were it a little sturdier, I don't think it would have arrived damaged. It is clear that they had to skimp in the manufacturing process to save costs.
