Decent memory 16GB stick 3/26/2020 8:26:38 PM

Pros: ASRock Taichi TR motherboard recognized XMP profile. No problem running 64GB for rendering projects. Works as well as my previous memory that came with heatsinks.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Shifted my old 32 GB to another build for family and upgraded memory for my workstation instead. I have a water cooled setup, so memory height isn't an issue.

Overclocks easily to 3600 2/27/2020 6:30:00 AM

Pros: Works nicely at DDR4-3200 as advertised, -just be sure to turn on XMP in your motherboard's BIOS so you get the right speed and timings. Otherwise the RAM shows up as DDR4-2400, as that is what is in the JEDEC timings in the SPD.

Also overclocks easily to DDR4-3600. Oddly enough, the most stable configuration for that speed is the 16-18-18-36 timing for 3200. At least that's what MemTest86 and some other benchmarks are telling me. My motherboard (ASUS Z270-WS) did adjust some of the other timings (which were left on "Auto" in the BIOS) to suit the higher speed. The RAM voltage is still set to 1.35 V. As always, your results may vary depending on your hardware. Here's what my system is, for reference.

ASUS Z270-WS motherboard
Core i7 7700K CPU overclocked to 4.8 GHz on all cores
64 GB of this DDR4-3200 DRAM overclocked to 3600 at 1.35 V
Nvidia Quadro P4000 GPU

Another interesting thing is while I can overclock the CPU to 5.0 GHz on all cores, that configuration is not stable with the RAM at 3600, but is at 3200. So 4.8 GHz is the highest I can go with the RAM at 3600. I even tried using some slower timings (18-20-20-40) on the RAM, but that didn't help. Go figure. That's OK because benchmarks (such as LINPACK) are telling me that the performance gain by going to 5 GHz is minimal when compared to 4.8 GHz.

Cons: No temperature sensor. Other than that, none I can think of.

Overall Review: A good choice if you need DDR4 RAM faster than the usual 2400 MT/sec, which is what I upgraded from.

Plug and PLAY 2/24/2020 1:46:42 PM

Pros: I wanted to up my system RAM from 16GB to 32GB when I upgraded my CPU from a 3700X to the all-powerful 3950X. This memory worked like a charm right from the very 1st boot on my old X370 Asus Crosshair VI Hero motherboard; along with that new BEAST of a chip!

I notice a HUGE difference in Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order with 32GB of RAM. It was the developer's recommendation for that game and it should be still. I'm not saying the 3950X doesn't also help, but it's the RAM that makes the difference. It will also allow me additional headroom for video editing and obviously makes my system more future proof. I like it :D

Cons: Not FREE

Overall Review: Phenomenal RAM, Incredible Value, Happy Customer!!

Pretty fast and great value 2/22/2020 8:17:13 AM

Pros: This memory runs at specified speed (DDR4-3200)
Very good price
Performance is excellent for speed and cost (un-cached reads at 19.4GB/s)

Cons: Probably running at maximum stable speed.

Overall Review: For someone who only wants good performing memory at a relatively low cost and is not interested in RGB feature or attractive looking modules, then this Crucial memory is a very good choice.
I mistakenly selected DDR4-3600 when I installed this memory in a AMD X370 MB and it would not even boot. After correcting my mistake, all is well. System booted at specified speed (DDR4-3200) and 4 passes of Memtest86 were clean. The performance of this 32GB of memory almost matches my newer AMD X570 MB with 16GB of DDR4-3600 memory, that cost the same. It more than met my expectations. I would recommend it for the reasons noted above.

excellent value 12/31/2019 12:44:49 PM

Overall Review: Micron E-die. Among the 2x16 GB kits these are some of the lower priced alternative to Samsung B-die and even Hynix CJR/DJRs. Running these on CAS 16 @ 3600 Mhz on z370 and z390 chipsets.

Performs as advertised 12/5/2019 6:01:08 AM

Pros: Runs at 3200 after enabling DOCP (Asus version of XMP) on a new X570 board with AMD 3600X CPU.

Cons: As others have stated, it would be nice to have a temperature sensor.

Overall Review: As expected, bios recognized the 2 x 16 ram as 2400; but quickly bumped it to 3200 with DOCP (XMP) enabled. I made the right choice with the Ballistic LT.
