It's designed more for creative work than gaming, but I've found it does fine with games. I don't see any tearing. You should be fine with the right graphics card, as long as you aren't wanting crazy high refresh rates.

Does the built-in KVM work correctly and well? If you connect two PCs to the two upstream USB ports on the monitor, is the switch between the two PCs smooth and instantaneous?  Do you hear any clicking sound when you do the switch?

Yes, I've found it to work really well, no pop or sound on the change and the "instantaneous" is really based on your operating system. The KVM does not create "phantom" devices for the operating system, sot it will behave as well as it does as if you were to unpug/plug a USB hub with all the devices on it. The net/net is that there is a short delay and then everything seems to work fine.

The previous version of this monitor (BL3201PH) did not include a KVM switch like this version does. As someone who has no need for a KVM switch, is there a way to disable the switch on this model, or am I effectively getting less USB ports on this model than I would get from the older model?

4 USB ports, 2 on the bottom, 2 on the right side. There are also two 'host' ports. If you're using a single computer, the monitor will auto select the host port connected.
