In theory, it is suppose to work once sony releases an update that removes HDCP block . There are other methods that can help you bypass HDCP. I don't have much knowledge on how to do it, but I have seen videos that consist of capture card and hdmi splitter. Hopefully, in the near future sony will release the update that will remove HDCP. Which one is the best looking 1080P 60FPS capture card? Elgato HD60 or Avermedia Extremecap U3?

Neither honestly... The u3 here needs specfic brand's of USB ports to work flawlessly and Avermedia added that/figured that out well after release... It COULD work, but most likely will give you issues or even BSOD's.  See Avermedia's site for specifics, or other reviews.

The Elgato is somewhat more reliable in this area, but I've helped to many people to count with issues with the hd60 as well. Elgato/OBS/XSPLIT etc seem to be working on the issues though at least.

And easy way to find info about these yourself is just googling HD60 or Extremecap U3 with the word OBS/XSPLIT and issues in the search.

Does this work for xbox 360? 
For example, I play on a BenQ monitor. 
Will this stream from my xbox to laptop?

You're question is a little unclear, but let me see if I understand you correctly.

You would like to connect your Xbox 360 to this device so that you can record your gameplay footage while outputting your display from the laptop to a BenQ monitor, right?

If so, then the answer is: yes!

The 360 does not implement HDCP over HDMI if memory serves (and even if it does, you can get around that with a HDMI splitter), so you should not have a problem picking up a signal. Latency is really low so you shouldn't need a second screen to play on while capturing.

Default Intel chip set will work, there are listed chipsets on the avermedia site if you want to double check compatibility. Currently using this capture card on my macbook pro with an Intel chipset

I'm wanting to play my Xbox 360 on my laptop monitor in HD. I have a cyberpower fangbook 150 with i7 processor and 16Gb ram and of course USB 3.0 will this work for me???

Yes. It will. My husband computer is and i7 with 8 gigs of ram. He uses this device to play directly on the monitor no lag. If your PC is capable of showing resolution of 1920 x 1080, you'll be fine with this device.

Google extremecap u3 and follow avermedia extremecap U3 link to download screen

Compatibility requires Usb 3.0 and  Mac OSX 10.9 or above. 
Disable hdcp under ps4 settings. 
Only drawback is you can only play ps4 video via screen on imac. 
My alternative to this was to buy Hdmi splitter with 1 Hdmi in port and 2 Hdmi out ports. Hdmi in from ps4. 1 Hdmi out to Mac. And 1 Hdmi out to separate monitor is my setup.

I have a Dell XPS L502X laptop with a duel core i7-2620M CPU and Nvidia GeForce GT 525M. I noticed on the AVerMedia site, they recommended i7-3537U and NVIDIA GT 735 M, so it looks like I'm just slightly below the requirements. Anyone else below the requirements and still managed to get this to record nicely for them?

I'm running a i7-3610QM at 2.3GHz (8 Core) and my video card is an Nvidia Geforce GTX 670M 3GB. I have only used the unit once so far but I didn't have any problems. If you get it and it doesn't work you can always send it back or buy a ROG (Republic of Gamers) laptop.

I bought this product specifically to convert old high tapes to MPEG-4 USB3. I use my son's all digital camcorder and the work fine. I hook up my old camcorder and play and give me a copy right error of home movies I made myself. Has anyone else had that problem? The product works great, I'm using HDMI input with this S-video adapter I got from China. I can see the video fine, it just will not record without giving a copyright error.

Yes, so long as you have the AV adapter cable. My capture card did not come with an adapter, so you may have to purchase one separately.
