Love it so far 9/22/2020 3:09:58 PM

Pros: Big enough for upgrades down the line

Great airflow, dropped 20 Celsius vs my old tower

Plenty of cable tie downs and included zip ties

Overall Review: I’d recommend to those looking for a case capable of testing new components and plenty for airflow

Well Built Case, but We Want More Colors 9/19/2020 10:39:40 AM

Pros: - Plenty of room for a variety of builds.
- Air flow like a pair of MC Hammer pants, especially when you ditch the stock fans for Noctuas.
- The area below the motherboard tray (basement, dungeon, etc.) is out of sight, so you can be lazy with most of your cable management if you feel the need to be that lazy.
- Is a timeless design. 7+ year old design that holds up as well as Jurassic Park's special effects.
- An abundance of tie spots for cable management for when you're not as lazy as specified in the third pro stated above.
- Like a 20-piece order of chicken McNuggets, awesome price for what you get.

Cons: - A bit lacking if you have a large PSU, but you can get rid of the hot swap bays and be nearly limitless on PSU length.
- Cooler Master has the ability to make these things in a larger variety of colors. Black looks good, but white would be sick.

Overall Review: Would totally recommend!

Distinctive and fun 9/11/2020 12:23:21 PM

Pros: - Awesome form factor
- Easy to work inside since it can be almost entirely disassembled.
- Heavy-duty
- Tons of tie-downs for cable management
- Airy and roomy inside
- Just a pleasure to assemble the two "floors" bottom to top.

Cons: - Only two front panel USB ports
- Big footprint
- Geared towards test bench usage and convenience features are sometimes inconvenient

Overall Review: This case is generally fantastic. It's just cool looking, first of all, and I love that it's a horizontal case instead of a tower. I wanted to have something where all my parts lie comfortably on the mobo instead of hanging off it on the side. So in that regard, it's great. Easy to take apart, work in, and reassemble.

My problems all came from the convenience features. Specifically, the 3.5" "X-Dock" bays in the front, which let you easily insert and remove drives, are really only for 3.5" hard drives and nothing else. The way they're set up means you really can't do any other types of front panels on them. I looked at the cage and it doesn't have much in the way of screw holes and stuff, and the front panel isn't quite the right size. It's not a huge deal because I did plug an HDD into one of the bays, but I'm not sure I'll be buying more of those with faster SSDs becoming the norm. So one bay may never be used.

There's a similar problem on the 5.25" bays. They have this ultra-convenient locking mechanism that pops a couple of metal rods into the drive to hold it in the bay, but that's only on the side that is near the side of the case. The side facing towards the middle is basically inaccessible unless you remove the front panel and the hot swap bay on the right. For a DVD drive it's great; I popped that in in seconds. But I also wanted to add a USB panel to give me more ports, since the case only came with two in front. The little lock couldn't hold the panel in place by itself, so I had to add a screw on the interior side. That was a major pain. And even after I got the screw in as tight as possible and the case put back together, I realized the outer locking mechanism isn't really holding the panel in place very well, so it wiggles. That drives me kind of crazy, so I may just remove the lock and screw it down on that side as well. It's not a huge deal because I just plugged in devices to all the USB ports I added on that panel and pretty much won't be touching them again, but still. Argh.

But don't let that tirade detract you! This is one of the few horizontal cases out there, and overall I'm super happy with it. Everything beside the above went as smooth as silk. I especially love that I could remove the entire motherboard mounting plate, and build half the computer on it before sliding it easily back into place. If you hate trying to line up the I/O panel, this setup makes it ten times easier, because you can mount the mobo in a separate step from pushing it against that panel.

So yeah, I love this case. The problems were minor overall, and I love how it looks on my desktop.

Solid Case 9/1/2020 2:01:32 PM

Pros: Great Airflow
Has side handles, making transport easy.

Cons: A little too open on the top, in my opinion.
Somehow barely enough room for cables under the motherboard. It's a rats nest under there.
HDD temps run a little high, as airflow doesn't get to them easily.

Overall Review: Before I had a good place for it, I was constantly worried I would sneeze the wrong way and a drop of anything would get through the top and onto the motherboard.

Pros: Small, handles make it portable, feels solid

Cons: 200mm fan is difficult to find as it has a very odd mounting pattern.

Great and practical` 8/16/2020 1:49:30 AM

Pros: -Good amount of expansion
-Two front-facing hot-swappable hard drive bays. Comes with SATA data/power connectors already pre-installed at the back of each bay.
-Paneling comes off intuitively and without a fuss. Goes back on easily.
-Spaceous inside.
-Sturdy handles make moving it around easy.
-Plenty of airflow.

Cons: -No USB C port on the front. You can get a custom plate for one of the 5.25" bays that has one, though, so it's not a huge deal. Still, an update would be nice.
-If you have a tall air cooler (like a Noctua NH-D15) you won't be able to mount a 200mm fan on top.
-Not necessarily a con, but it doesn't come with a rear 120mm fan for the back, 80mm fans for the internal bays, or a 200mm fan for the top. You must buy these separately.

Overall Review: Awesome, super practical case. I was really pleasantly surprised with it.
