Cons: - Miss volume rocker of my K70
Overall Review: I have multiple Corsair keyboards in my home and personal favorite has been my K70 RapidFire that I use daily. I was very interested to see how well the K63 compared since it was wireless. First of all, the keyboard feels nice and solid. The build quality is excellent. The ice blue lights look fantastic. The keys are fairly quiet and have a great feel when pressed. Maybe not as sensitive as my K70, but feel great and perhaps even better for typing. Response was fast and tight and no lag was noticed despite being wireless. Gaming felt amazing using this keyboard. The battery life is stated at 15 hours and with my time using it, that is very believable. It easily paired via bluetooth with my system and the fact that it also offer 2.4ghz and fully wired capability makes it very versatile. The corsair CUE software is super easy to use and allows for great lighting options. I typically do not mess with it much, but it works well. I like the media button placement, however I do prefer the volume rocker that is present on my K70 versus the buttons on the K63. That is a small niggle though. Overall I am very happy with the K63 Wireless Special Edition Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. It is priced in line with one would expect, performs excellent, has solid battery life and looks great. Absolutely recommended!
Pros: -size -cherry mx red
Cons: -noise
Overall Review: The keyboard is great, the positive reviews are deserved but there's some flaws being overlooked by other reviewers. I'll get the bad out of the way. 1) With the larger (backspace, enter etc) keys, you'll hear the spring while pressing them, even more so if you aren't pressing right on the center of the key. They aren't sticking, they still function fine. 2) If you're using the backlighting while charging, the keyboard makes a high pitch sound. It's annoying so I disable it while charging. Overall, I'm happy with the keyboard. I have a small desk, my PC & monitor share it with the kb/mouse so space is limited. I was due to replace my old clunky keyboard and I liked the idea of also having a keyboard for my tablet (use as a 2-in-1). This keyboard can be used wirelessly or wired. I keep it in my backpack for wireless use at school, but I also use it wired on my PC. Since I plug it in to use at home, it always has a fresh charge. If you're buying this for portability, charging isn't an issue since it's MicroUSB. The battery life is good, I left it on for 30+ hours at one point and it still worked. There's other small keyboards but none I've used compare when it comes to typing. It still uses standard sized keys but they made it compact enough to be portable, there's also enough weight that it stays put on all surfaces. Even with my hypersensitive ears, I think it's a great product.
Pros: Easy to use, Keystrokes register fast, Adjustable lighting effects with C.U.E. Micros work well using registered keystrokes.
Cons: Emailed support one week ago with a question and as of this time never received an answer.
Overall Review: I had to download the K65 software to use it and I did email support about this but didn't get an answer I can attest that using on windows 10 or windows 7 That it works I cant fully program some keys on windows 7 and not sure why as it works in windows 10. In Windows 7 you have to use the regular keystrokes in a game but you can program it so the keys stay held down for a period of time. So in windows 7 if you use the W key to walk with you can program it so it if you hit W key it holds it down for the length of time you want but you cant change F1 weapon key to be used for different weapons. You still have to hit F2 and so on to change weapons. In Windows 10 I didn't have that limitation I could use F1 to change to any weapon I wanted so not sure what is up with that. My main con is one problem I haven had with Corsair support before as I have multiple SSD's and other Corsair products. Out of all the Corsair products I own in the last 4 years I have only had one SSD go bad and it took two weeks for that. On the support page they ask for a copy of receipt and of coarse this being a Newegg review product you don't have one to give them and that could very well be why support is taking so long in getting back to me. I would be careful using the keys as they are super sensitive in comparison to a regular keyboard that you would pay fifteen dollars for. My only other mechanical keyboard is not as sensitive as this one is. As of June 15th they now have a cue driver just for this keyboard. What I like about the CUE driver is that the same driver works for every product that they sell that uses it. So one download works my mouse, keyboard, and mouse pad.
Pros: I have been using the Corsair K63 for about 2 weeks now and have been enjoying my time with it so far. I’ve logged probably 20 hours in-game, and 10 hours web browsing. With that said, I’ll touch on some points that I really liked about the K63 first: The build seems solid despite being made completely of plastic. There are rubber pads on each corner that provide sufficient traction on most surfaces, and fold-out legs on the back that provide about 1/2” of extra lift. The overall design is clean and simple, though I would not go so far as to call it “minimalist” as there are some custom touches that make it unique. The key switches sit over a recessed piece of plastic that is painted red and sits behind the top piece of black trim. This gives a nice appearance to the keyboard overall, and actually helps to make the keycaps visually stand apart from one another. The keycaps are above average in quality and have very large and modern looking font. They are all smooth and concave with exception to the spacebar which is convex in shape and has a cross-hatch texture to it. The per-key red LED backlighting can get very bright, yet there is very little bleed around the edges of the cap. The CUE software lets you fully customize light patterns and effects to your heart’s desire. A large Corsair community allows you to download custom made profiles that you can upload to your K63. Once you find the perfect setup, you can flash it to the keyboard and take it with you on the go – no need for CUE software to continue using the custom lighting effects. The key switches themselves are very, very quiet. That surprised me because they are supposed to be the very same Cherry Red switches that I am already used to with other mechanical keyboards. You will not need or want to install any aftermarket o-rings on this keyboard unless you simply want to change the feel and travel/stroke distance. There are some dedicated media keys in the upper-left corner, however I never once found a need for them. The mute and volume keys, however, can come in pretty handy at times. There is also dedicated brightness and Windows lock keys, in addition to caps-lock and scroll-lock LEDs.
Cons: There are numerous features that separate the K63 from the more expensive, but more premium other options in Corsair’s lineup. I personally have a K70, and for much of this review I looked to it for comparison on what functionalities were missing from it’s smaller sibling: Does not have the same brushed aluminum frame as the bigger brother K70. Does not have a volume wheel, but instead has dedicated volume up and down keys next to the mute key. Despite being marketed almost exclusively as a “gaming keyboard”, there are no macro keys or any other gaming features really when you exclude the Windows-lock key. The gaming features really come from the ability to customize performance and lighting with the CUE software. There is no dedicated polling rate or BIOS compatibility switch. However, the polling rate can be adjusted via CUE software. No USB or headphone/mic pass-through. The K63 USB cable has dual connectors, so I think there is more than enough power and bandwidth to be shared and extended to an additional USB peripheral.
Overall Review: Plain and simple, I feel the $79.99 price point is too high for this product. Corsair did a good job with this ten-keyless compact keyboard, but they simply overshot the target with the MSRP. There are other brands out there offering much more in terms of build materials and features for the same or less money. Some other points to make that are really just FYI, and so not listed above: There are two attachment points on the underside-front of the keyboard that looks compatible with a wrist-rest or fold-out legs. However, I do not see any such accessory listed on Corsair’s website for purchase, and the same accessories on my K70 do not fit the K63. Not compatible with the older CUE software version (v1.x), which I prefer over the revamped v2.x. If you have never used CUE v.1x then it probably will not be an issue for you. There are no updated firmware versions for the K63 as of this review. The latest version is still v1.00 Thanks to Newegg.com and Corsair for providing the review sample! Pros: * This combo is Solid, Well built and Compact, *Numerical keypad is absent on the keyboard. A plus for a compact dedicated gaming keyboard. *Very easy setup. Basically plug and play following the simple easy to understand instructions *Cue software allows for saving macros. Also allows locking out certain keys that you might not want to hit when gaming. Of course it also, lets you adjust the keyboard lights to your liking. *The keyboard works also with the USB charging cable, without the dongle, if needed. *The USB port converter is a nice touch, allowing you to put the dongle at the end of the USB cable so it can be placed for the best wireless signal with the keyboard *The Gaming Lapboard is also well built with nice padding on the bottom. It also has a nice smooth mouse pad built in. Extra parts are provided for locking the keyboard into the Lapboard just in case you break one!
Cons: I can find no cons with the keyboard. The mouse pad is very smooth and fast. This is a good thing as long as the lapboard is held level. If it is tilted, even a little, the mouse will slide off very quickly. Most people don’t sit with their lap level. If kicked back in the easy chair, don’t let go of the mouse, you will be looking for it between the cushions.
Overall Review: If you like to play online games on a large TV screen or feel more comfortable on a soft chair away from a desk, this may be just what you need. It is potentially a great idea. It is very useful if you have a place to park your mouse between games. Some suggested improvements would be a soft wrist rest below the mouse pad to provide a barrier to help keep the mouse on the board and some additional comfort for those long gaming sessions. A small compartment to store the spare parts, dongle and cable would be great. I can definitely recommend the great keyboard. I can only recommend the lapboard with reservation. It is a solid well built lapboard, with, for me, one irritating problem.
Pros: The keyboard can slot easily into the lap pad and then fasten in. The lap pad is very comfy and easy to have on your lap for extended time. With the keyboard slotted in the pad it has plenty of room for your wrists. It has a grip material where wrists go so your hands don’t slide while gaming. The mouse pad area is pretty large. I really like the size for gaming. When not gaming I don’t use as much of it but it’s vital when gaming to have that extra width. I first plugged this into a desktop PC just to get it up and going and test range. I was able to sit about 15 ft. away without issues. My response time has felt good on it too even in FPS fast twitching. I then plugged this into my Steam Link and it worked right away. Not having to deal with install or drivers has been great. The actual keyboard feels fantastic. It’s far superior to non mechanical and frankly I like the feel of this more than my other Corsair mechanical K95 keyboard. The keyboard is heavy durable feeling, quite weighty which is nice. The function keys are pretty different and takes some getting used to. They nicely put the Fn. key on the right side of the space bar and not the left so gaming doesn’t get funky with a weird misplaced button there like on laptop keyboards. They really did think this out for gamers. Overall I love this keyboard and the lap pad feels great to couch play. Well done.
Cons: The wrist area is grippy which is great but I do wish it was a little more squishy.
Overall Review: The box is pretty big. It comes with basically the lap pad in its own box with the keyboard in its own box. They’re wrapped well and it’s pretty easy to get up and running. There is no 10 Key number pad. Size and weight wise it’d be hard to put in there but takes some getting used to.
Pros: - Lapboard is great. It's comfortable in your lap, the foam really helps keep it from making your legs ache after a while. It's wide, but it still fits on my Laz-Y-Boy recliner. The edges rest slightly on the arm rests, but the bottom still contacts my legs. It's nice and stable. The mouse pad section feels good under my wireless mouse. - The keyboard keys are nice and tactile. I'm used to the keys on my Logitech G910 keyboard, which are very different from normal mechanical keys, so the keys seem to press down quite a bit further than I am used to, but that's almost any other mechanical keyboard I have tried. - Lighting - The blue can be turned up for daylight typing or down for a dark room. Youc an always see your keys without being distracted by them. -Battery Life - I've had mine for 2 weeks. I charged it for a couple of hours when I got it. It still hasn't died. Can't ask for more than that. - Connection - I don't feel any input lag compared to my normal wired keyboard. It might as well be wired as far as connection feel.
Cons: - The lapboard could be a bit less wide so you could center the keyboard in front of you or have a number pad. - I wish there was a built in wrist rest for the mouse.
Overall Review: I really don't have many gripes. My cons are really minor nit-picks. I got this for a review but I am going to end up using it all the time for my living room set up as it really works well. I also like that I get to choose my own mouse, as I am picky and usually hate the mice that come with wireless combos anyway.

Pros: -Gotta love the mechanical keys! -Overall great construction -Rechargeable battery via USB cable -Even the USB cable is a premium design. -Recognized by windows 10 immediately, no software required to get started -Nice mouse pad -Very attractive and bright illumination -When the keyboard is mounted in the tray, it creates a heavy unit that isn't going to slide around during use.
Cons: -Keyboard is not an ergonomic design and is fairly narrow, so you have to keep your elbows in to reduce the bend in your wrists. -When mounted in the lap tray, the keyboard is to the left of center, not an ergonomic position. -No numerical keypad, but most people won't care. -The lap tray is quite wide, about 26 inches, which may be wide enough to conflict with any arm rests you have on your chair. -The tray/keyboard assembly is about 2 inches thick, so you may not want to use it on a desk. -The manual is about 75 pages long, but only 5 pages are in English. This might be a plus for someone else.
Overall Review: I think this lapboard/keyboard system would be great for gamers who like to lay on the floor, bed or sofa. It isn't so good for people like me who do a lot of writing and have ergonomic issues. I'm glad I had a chance to try out these mechanical keys, now I need to find an ergonomic keyboard that uses them.
