Does the case have a door in front which one has to open to access the DVR. If yes can it be set to open  from the right to open to left??

Yes, the brushed aluminum front is a door that can be pulled open either from the left side, or the right side - depends which side you pull to open. You could completely remove the front door panel, but you'd loose some benefits, such as noise and dust reduction...besides the clean, good looks with it on.

Question 2

I saw from the video that the motherboard tray is recessed slightly.  Has this caused anyone problems with side-facing sata ports?

I recently purchased this case and I must say it is the BEST one I have ever dealt with hands down.  Quality built, quiet and it stays amazingly clean inside. Should the need arise I would buy another in a second.

That said on to your question.  I had no issues accessing the SATA connections on the motherboard though making the connections was more by feel than sight.  Being that all the cabling is cleanly routed to the back is was easy to get my hand in there.

If I had to complain about anything it would be the SATA & power connections on the drives are a tight squeeze space-wise as they barely fit between the back of the drive and the back side of the case.

Oh yeah.  And the air filter on the bottom under the power supply slides out from the back which is a bit awkward when you are trying to clean out the filters.

Overall it's an A++ Case.

Question 3

Can this case also be used for high air flow? Seeing as a good number of the fans are covered but the covers can be removed I was wondering if this case can be either a silent or a high air flow case.

I think you can get some serious airflow with this case and also enjoy some of the silencing features.

It also gives you the option to open it all up, with plenty of fans, when benchmarking or overclocking. Then, disable some of the extra fans and shut the covers for silence or a more professional appearance when just using the computer normally.

If extreme airflow is what you're after there may be better cases but for options and a best of both worlds solution this case is hard to beat.

Is there a place for the optical drive in this case?

Yes, it's a great case but the face plate must be removed to access the optical. Not sure I'd go with this one if you had to use CD or DVD on a frequent basis. Hope that was clear answer. I use the case for a powerful desktop and scientific analysis.

Question 5

In the overview section it says this case is only compatible with Intel LGA 775, 1155, 1156, 1366, and 2011. Is it compatible with LGA 1150 as well?

I purchased the Corsair case in Nov. '13.   Married it with MSI Z87-G45 motherboard and Intel i3-4130[3.4 GHz, 3MB Cache, LGA-1150].  All fits perfectly.

Ironically, the CPU cooling fan' I used had a spec sheet that also omitted the LGA-1150 (as you noticed on this case), but listed the LGA-1155, so I asked the same question as you with respect to that item.

Are the front USB 3.0 pass through or direct connect to the motherboard?

Direct connect to motherboard, also an adapter to convert plug to internal USB 2.0 if your mb has no direct USB 3.0.

Can a side window be installed?

Yes, if you want to modify the side panel yourself; otherwise no.  Corsair makes a solid side panel, without the removable sub-panel, that might make a better starting point if you want to fabricate a panel with a window.  It's called CC-8930049.  So far as I know they don't make a side panel with a window that you could just buy and substitute for the side panel that the case comes with.

I'm really impressed by the many dust filters everywhere. Although, there are few things I did not quite understand and some questions I must ask before actually buying this case:
How will the air flow into the case with the "front door" closed? Am I supposed to leave it removed for the air to constantly flow?
Also, do I must remove the side and the top panels and leave the magnetic dust filters "open to the the wild"? Won't they just fall off just with the slightest touch? Is there a way to attach them to the case with screws or something like that?

The front "door" is mounted in such a way as to provide incoming air from the bottom and both side edges of the door. A plus is that the door can be opened either left to right or right to left. The so called "dust filters" are actually flexible, perforated magnetic sheets which cling quite well to the top and, if used, other parts of the case. I rigged 2 fans atop, 1 in front, and used a Corsair H60 liquid cooler for the CPU with a fan on the rear mounted cooling radiator. Both sides are easily removable without tools.
Although I have a powerful ASUS Z87 Mobo and a Intel Core i7-4770K HASWELL 3.5GHz Processor, along with 32GB RAM, an NVidia GTX 770 video card, a 512GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD and 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDU, all powered by a Corsair AX1200i PSU; the system so far, doesn't even breathe heavily in this case configuration, runs cool and very, very quiet in operation!

This case is roomy and has a number of very nice features for installation of Mobo, multiple HDU's, cooling fans, and access.

If I have a gripe, it's that the front panel access is somewhat limited with the door closed. Just 2 mini-jacks for audio input, audio output, a reset button, a power on light and button, and 2 USB connectors. You may find it easier to remove the door altogether (it's easy to remove and simply "pops" off the hinges), and add another I/O panel for SD cards, more USB ports, etc. on the front panel.

Hope this helps you out, it's a good and flexible large "desktop" case for a number of applications.

Are the included fans PWM fans?  How loud are they?

I'm not sure of the specific type of fans used in this case, but I can tell you that it is a very quiet case.

Does the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO fit in this case?

Sorry to be answering this weeks later, but yes the CM 212 will fit just fine. I think literally any air cooler on the market will fit without any problems at all.
