The case it's self is well built.
For the size, it isn't overly heavy
Ideal for most high end liquid cooling
Cons: There are some serious design flaws.
Does not have a full set of wire grommets:
For some reason or another, Corsair chose not to include wire grommets for the top two spaces. Also I think there could have been a better design for the wire management for the 5.25 slots that should have included wire grommets
Sketchy radiator compatibility:
The EK 480MM PE radiator(Which is their slim radiator) would only fit on the top in one way. The case connectors blocked any chance of the radiator fitting the way I wanted. The front space that should fit a 360MM, will not even fit a 240MM without some case modding if there are any radiators installed in the bottom spaces. This was severely disappointing because I had planned to use a 240mm radiator there.
Like many have said here, the drive bays are complete trash. Many cases have much better quality when it comes to drive bays for a far smaller price tag.
PCI-E screws are near impossible to use with out some serious effort. In order to mount the 3 GTX 780 Classifieds with waterblocks, it took a good 30~45 minute effort between my son and I to finally get all the screws in place.
Magnetic doors and filters are weak and struggle to stay closed/on.
Included fans are not quite and will be quickly replaced for most people.
Overall Review: I would like to address something I noticed while I was reviewing reviews on this case. Many of the reviews that gave any bad reviews were immediately given thumbs down reviews even though they were quite honest.
This case is not perfect by a long shot. I personally believe it is a bit expensive for the overall quality of the case and the included items inside the case. That being said, the next case that offers more is nearly $600 from Case labs.
I do feel that Corsair should offer a midplate option and the correct amount of wire grommets for all wire management holes.
I also would like to see a clear window option. These are personal opinions.
Other than then mentioned cons, I will be using this case for a long time after some mods.
If anyone decided to really read this entire review, please don't rate down unless you honestly think I have been unfair to this product.
Pros: I got this case a little earlier through Corsair and I was not disappointed. It is very roomy with lots of room for all types of equipment. While I do not fully water cool my system I know have plenty of options. Airflow in the case seems to be pretty good. I currently am cooling a 3930K with a Corsair H110 in push/pull. Front three fans are intake as in the H110. Have the back as the only exhaust. My temps with a 4.3 overclock hover around 30-35 (getting warmer outside) and seem to make in the 50'sunder prime. I did replace the stock fans but it is not needed. The ones that came with the case are decent.
It is a large case. It is very well constructed and I am very pleased with it so far. I am sure I will play around more but well worth the wait for those anxious to try it.
Cons: None really. I have no complaints, other than I wish it were out sooner. I paid a premium for shipping since I got it early but I am glad I did. It is worth the extra money to me.
Pros: - Size
- Easy customization
I really do like this case a lot the size and the ease of customization is great!
Cons: - Broken Bottom Side Panel
- Magnetic Dust Filter for both bottom side panel
The magnetic dust filters are okish but the magnet built in didn't last for long and already stopped working and won't connect like they should. I will have to tape down the dust filter to make sure they stay.
The back bottom side panel is broken. The magnets that should keep it connected were switched around it seems. Instead of it attracting the panel to keep it connected it does the opposite and keeps it open all the time and it is impossible to close.
Also the case box that it came in was extremely damaged on arrival. Considering only 1 panel was broken is a miracle in itself I guess.
Overall Review: The case is good but a few issues with it. I had to wait a long time to get the case due to constant delays in delivery. Can't say the case is actually worth the price due to the poor work that has been put into the case.
Pros: HUUUUUUUGE .... This thing is the size of most compact sedans.. I think my landlord mistook it as the garage for his smart car. Seriously this thing can fit any Motherboard, that at least I can think of, the corsair H110 looks tiny inside it, I'm thinking of grabbing the Radiator of a 67 Trans Am to shove in there, it'd probably fit (no not really ...) cabling is a dream, there's a large (I didn't measure) space between the motherboard tray and the outside wall that allows for basically any cabling needs, the front mounted drive cages are movable, but the manual isn't overly descriptive about that, but it's basically common sense, oh look, a screw, I think I need to remove that. one thing that I did have issues with was my fan controller. I have the AeroCool Touch 2100, and in this particular case, there are small plastic "guides" on the bezel which I guess are there to ensure alignment and to "support" the 5 1/4" drives, but they get in the way of my fan controller, and needed to be "removed" and I'm not a fan of yanking out the hacksaw so to speak. That doesn't effect my opinion of the case, it's simply something that MIGHT effect some people.
Cons: Not so much a con as a be aware of. Like I said before, the case is gigantic in every way you can think, so Power Supplies with shorter cables, or shorter SATA cables need not apply here, just make sure your cables are long enough, especially the top most 5 1/4" and the location of your 4 or 8 pin CPU header, though Corsair does include an extension for that.
Weight, it's a heavy case, VERY heavy, but that's expected at this size.
Overall Review: Excellent case, if space isn't an issue.
Pros: Plenty of space.
Plenty of storage for HDDs/SSDs.
Huge amounts of radiator room.
Water-cooling capacity is almost unlimited.
Plenty of ways to hide cables.
Cons: Doesn't come with a mid-plate, which would be really nice.
This is not a case for air-cooling.
Overall Review: This case is huge. Knowing the measurements doesn't do justice until you actually see it in person. This is definitely an eye popper when people walk in my room and see this massive thing sitting on my desk. If you are planning on just doing an air-cooling setup, this case isn't for you. This is for the custom loop builders who want a lot of room to put their parts.
Pros: This case is huge as everyone saying. Variety of mounting options for radiators and fans. I got a corsair h110i gtx cooler fit on the top with no problem. I'm coming from HAF 932 case and very happy that i got this one.
Cons: I own variety of corsair productions from memory, coolers. The QC is not 100% on this product. The HDD trays were flimsy and to screw PCI cards little tricky. The 2 side doors on the bottom which close with magnet, not sure how long that will hold
Overall Review: I gave 5 stars as I'm happy that i really fulfill my needs. I got it in sale around 180$ (include rebate/amex offer)
Pros: This thing IS the beast. The single largest and best looking case that money can buy. It's big, perhaps unnecessarily so for many, and heavy to boot. You have a lot to work with inside, though. It can fit practically any variety of system inside and still give you the room to stuff your cat inside while still providing good air flow.
Cons: Mine has a tendency to resist pulling off the windowed case panel, and my fingers cry out in painful pleasure every time.
Overall Review: This is a kind of case that you pick as the first component and then TRY to do it justice with the machine that gets housed inside. Suitable for nothing short of extreme, massive, powerful builds. Do yourself a favor and snag this if you're looking to build a real monster. Nothing else will suffice.
Pros: Great case!
It is extremely large and had tons of room!
Cons: The bottom doors have a hard time staying closed without the side panels on
Overall Review: I gave this case a 4 star because I think there are a few places that can be improved upon.
1. Better cable management for power cables
2. Better top vent release system
3. Revamp the lower door locking system, the magnets are just not strong enough
