Overall Review: STRAFE model uses F9 - F12 for multimedia controls. You just hold/ press the FN key while using multimedia controls, no problem. i'm a left-handed gamer so installed the textured/contoured keys in place of arrow keys beside the number pad keys.

Pros: Cherry MX Red switches means a quiet, light-touch mechanical keyboard. These are non-tactile switches, so you get a smooth, silent depress all the way down, with the contact making a little more than halfway down. If you don't bottom out the switches as you type, this is a very quiet keyboard. Not having to bottom out the switches is a major advantage of mechanical keyboards verses rubber dome keyboards, which do not "make" until they hit the bottom. Over time, large amounts of typing on a mechanical keyboard is much less physically punishing to your fingers because of this. Extremely well-constructed keyboard with a baseplate that isn't recessed, meaning that it's very easy to clean between the keys and anything that falls into the keys is much easier to remove than on a conventional keyboard with a recessed baseplate. This keyboard has both anti-ghosting and "full key rollover"--which for a USB keyboard is limited to 6-key rollover. The limitation is in the interface, not the keyboard, and it would be a very unusual circumstance that would require you to press a seventh key while holding down six other keys. While only PS/2 keyboards have true n-key rollover, I can't imagine a circumstance in which you would actually notice the difference in real-world use. The backlighting features are very nice with adjustable light levels and a couple of different modes, including one very cool mode where the backlighting "follows" the keys that you press as you type. The media control keys are well-placed and the volume control roller is handy and works well.

Cons: There really aren't any "cons" that I have found on this keyboard. I do wish it had PS/2 connectivity as well as that is my preferred interface for technical reasons including true n-key rollover.

Overall Review: This keyboard is not cheap but it is also a high-quality, fully featured gaming keyboard, and you do get a lot of "bang for the buck" with this one. Strongly recommended. If you are new to mechanical keyboards, once you try one, you'll never go back to rubber-dome keyboards again.

Pros: I decided to upgrade my keyboard. I needed one with a smaller profile, but still provided better functionality and usage (my last keyboard did not have Print Screen key). Typing on this beast feels majestic. It's got the snap of pressure when pressing down on a key. Having used soft keys for years, I never realized how much I actually missed a mechanical keyboard. And while it may entirely be a placebo effect, I have to say gaming wit the K70 feels much more responsive, each keystroke responding instantly. No regrets!

Cons: Can still be quite a bit loud. The Brown MX switches are the quieter of the bunch, but if you're looking for a quiet keyboard this is NOT the keyboard for you. That said, it's not as loud as other mechanical keyboards, it's definitely noticeable.

Overall Review: The cable on this puppy is quite thick. I've never seen a keyboard cable with two USB connectors.

Cons: The textured replacement 1-6 keys are missing their shift modifier labels (!@#$%^), so if you use the board for typing and haven't memorized keys or someone else goes to type on your keyboard they may be hunting for keys for a bit.

Overall Review: Seems to be a great keyboard for typing and gaming so far, haven't had any issues with LEDs or responsiveness during gaming. I would recommend this board to anyone who is looking for a gaming or typing keyboard but doesn't want the "click" of the other Cherry MX switches. Also note, this keyboard is louder than others by design so if you are typing or gaming with others in confined spaces you may annoy them if they aren't used to louder keyboards.

Overall Review: Corsair has been putting out awesome keyboards lately. With the aluminum, the cherry switches, nice backlighting.......just great to the eye and the touch. Love this lineup.

Pros: I am a 64 year old extreme gamer who has been building systems since MS/DOS and have used hundreds of different keyboards. I replaced a 510 with this and was surprised at the difference. The Cherry Red keys have a nice feel. The sound is louder than I expected. The back lit keys are nice on the 1st and 2nd settings, but if you use the hi setting you might want to wear your sunglasses. LOL! The keyboard itself is quite small so it takes up little desk space. The USB pass-through is a nice touch. All in all it is a nice product.

Cons: OK! Here is my biggest problem. I have very large hands. My old 510 was larger top to bottom than the K70. While using the WASD keys on the K70 my hand rests on my desktop. This really bothers me. To spend $129.99 for a gaming keyboard that doesn't fit my hands sucks. So if you wear a XXL glove and/or have very long fingers you might want to make sure you try the fit at your local brick and mortar shop before buying this. One final thing is the red add-on keys for 1,2,3,4,5,6 do not include the !<@<#<$<%<^ on top of the numbers making typing a pain if you hunt and peck like I do.

Overall Review: This is a nice keyboard for gaming and typing too. I would have given it 5 eggs if it weren't for the small size and the red add on keys not having the !<@<#<$<%<^ on keys 1-6 most folks need to type. If it weren't for these issues, this keyboard would be perfect. As it is I'm probably going to return this, pay for shipping, and take the 15% re-stocking hit and get another product that fits. Truthfully, that sucks

Overall Review: I purchased this keyboard for general office use, spending my entire day at the computer. I do not use it for gaming. I really like the look of the black brushed aluminum base with the keys mounted directly on top rather than set within a plastic frame. The overall size of the keyboard is smaller than most multimedia type boards. The keys are not smaller, there is just no additional plastic surrounding the keys or on the sides of the board. The base of the board pretty much ends on the right and left at the edge of the keys which I like because my desktop real estate is valuable. The wrist rest has a nice leather-like texture. The wrist rest is fairly low compared to the add-on rests generally available. All the keys have standard notations like any commercial keyboard, unlike some of the other gaming boards. Since I listen to Pandora while I work, I really like the volume mute button and the volume control roll-wheel. Also a volume scroll bar temporarily comes up on the screen when volume adjustments are made. The keystrokes are nice and crisp and the sound of the keystrokes are only slightly louder than the membrane board that I have been using for years. The volume of the strokes are in direct relation to how hard you hit the keys when you type. A lighter type strike results in quieter key sounds. The keyboard has 4 legs instead of the 2 normally found included. You can have the entire board elevated and basically parallel to the desktop or you can set the board at an angle. Since I have used my other premium keyboard for several years before replacing it with the Corsair, it is taking a little getting used to because the spacing is slightly different. The F-keys are closer to the top row of numeric keys than my other board but I am sure that I will get used to it with time. Overall, I really like the feel and quality of my new Corsair keyboard.
