Pros: The good thing about this was it has USB media playback. It caught a lot of channels.
Cons: First off it runs hot. The "record" function is extremely funky on this. Sometimes it records slightly jittery (no it's not my memory). The clock is always set at military time and can't be changed. The on screen button details are sometimes extremely small. It has to warm up a bit when it starts. Any channels you remove from the menu will mysteriously come back again without warning randomly. The "guide" that tells you about what shows are coming on takes forever to get information, and sometimes resets the show info to "not available" right after it all loads in. There are no firmware upgrades available (even though it says there are in the instructions and there's an on screen prompt for USB upgrades) and there's little to no support for this if you try to contact Ematic. The worst part? It only lasted less than a year.
Overall Review: Would have been a decent investment if it worked OK. Instead it's sub-par at best and died in less than a year of use. USB media playback was decent, but you can't watch anything when it's dead can you.
