Pros: +Solid Build Quality +Well packaged. Tempered glass was nicely protected, and the film on the glass in on both sides, plus the "tempered glass" sticker was adhered to the plastic you peel off, not the glass itself, preventing leaving residue and sticker mess to clean. +Versatility is great. Can do various set ups with the components included. Check out some Youtube videos or the product video for more details on this +Dust filters everywhere you need them, with easy removal for cleaning +Fan/Water cooler mounting at the front and top is extremely versatile, with mounting holes/slots to fit numerous sizes and placement. +The included fan controller works great, is well mounted/placed +The "silence optimization" is great, the side panels and front have a dense and solid dampening material that really deadens the sound. They even added nice little enhancements like little rubber pads where the power supply sits to reduce noise and vibration there. +Thumb screws everywhere! Easy access to everything you need, with well designed mounting for drives, fans, etc.. that make getting hand cramps and bloody knuckles from working inside a PC case a thing of the past! +USB C 3.1 Gen 2 (the latest as of Dec 2018.. not just USB C, or an earlier version.. but the true 10Gbs protocol and connector) right on the front panel! +The front vents appear to have been extended/widened from earlier models. I haven't run temp tests yet specific to this area of the case, but I do believe the front fans get sufficient and ample air flow from the vents around the front face of the case, which is something case makers have struggled and sacrificed for the past few years it seems for aesthetics, but Fractal has both; good airflow and the aesthetics. +Did I mention versatility? So many options.. for water cooling, drive placement, fan placement, open top, closed top, etc.. +The fans that come with it are solid and decent, they have a nice weight to them and just feel of quality +Cable management and routing options are great. Plenty of space behind the motherboard tray, and comes with velcro pre mounted on the primary cable routing spot. Tons of tie down locations on the back of the board to zip tie/velcro etc..
Cons: -I know this is nitpicking, and it doesn't bother me that much, but the cable run from the front panel down the side and to the back of the case/motherboard area came pre-tied down, but with basic tie-ties.. just the little black wire-ish things with a plastic coating.. no big deal, it works.. and I'm impressed it came tied down at all, but I feel with a case of this caliber, use some nice little velcro straps there instead. -There is a button on the back to disconnect the top lid, the "moduvent" area. While it does function in releasing the top, it is still a little difficult to get the top off, either needing you to reach inside the case and pop it out from underneath, or slide something in the small crevice that opens to fully pop off the lid. No big deal, as it's not a spot you mess with much, but would be nice to see that feature improved to make removing the lid without much additional effort.
Overall Review: Fractal continues to improve. I've used their cases for 4+ years, starting with a full tower Define S2 XL, which blew me away when I received it. Just the build quality and ease of use working with it was phenomenal. Since then I have purchased and used 6+ other Fractal cases for builds for work, friends, and family. I've used a few of the earlier Define R series, and the Meshify, and all the cases have been great. I like seeing that Fractal continues to listen to it's consumer base, and has it's finger on the pulse of the market, seeing changes in components and trends, and knows which ones to tweak and refine their cases with.. and that's just it, they "refine" - and improve. They don't jump on trend bandwagons, they make their product a better version of itself.
