Sharp angles, uncompromising design and a no-nonsense attitude combine to create a case quite unlike any built before it. An expressive ARGB strip wraps the front and top in a synchronized, continuous run, customizable via your RGB motherboard or via the included Adjust R1 controller. The counter-angled air intakes are designed to trap noise without restricting airflow, giving you a case that breathes like it’s open—but sounds like it’s closed.

But looks only go so far. What about the inside? Storage is a non-issue—with eleven HDD and four SSD positions (six + two brackets included), the Vector RS is ready to take on any build you want to throw at it. An intelligent modular layout adapts to maximize airflow, water-cooling, and component headroom to realize every ounce of potential in your build. The TG top panel easily swaps with the included ventilated steel cooling bracket to shift Vector’s affinity from ultimate display piece to performance powerhouse with nine total fan positions.

With customizable effects, adaptable layout and interchangeable elements, Vector becomes what you want it to be: The perfect showcase for your system.

Hot and LEDs don't work 4/7/2020 6:23:13 AM

Pros: Edit: 1 star to 4 as Fractal got back to me replaced parts, will updated if replacement parts don't work.

Cons: hot, some misaligned parts. Taking off front panel reduces temp 15 deg and i have Fans maxed out.

Overall Review: Got a non functional front panel and customer service is ignoring me. If CV19 is an issue just let me know. Should have gone Corsair, maybe overpriced but good customer service.

Replacement part didn't fix the issue. Fractal support has gone Missing in Action. Very not impressed, your support can answer emails from home...... May just end up eating the cost of this case and take a few hours and a couple hundred bucks and by a different case.....

LED died in 45 days 3/31/2020 1:46:30 AM

Pros: Aside from the case design which is a solid A+, Fractal definitely took their time and designed a well made case for the modern gamer. There's plenty of airflow, the frame around the front glass and their push-locks are great touch, and so many little areas for wire management makes it easier to make a system look good.

Cons: My whole LED turned off. At first I thought it was a mobo issue within settings or a faulty app, but that isn't the issue. Unfortunately, even using Fractal's LED controller did zero to bring this unit back from the dead. Quite disappointed. Haven't bought a case in a decade and now I have a faulty one. I'll make an RMA soon.

Overall Review: Like the design and style, so I'd buy again depending how Fractal deals with my current issue.

Fantastic Case 3/5/2020 11:50:06 AM

Pros: Quality Build
Great Cable Routing Choices
Tons of drive space
All options thought of
Lighting scheme is beautiful
Lots of room to work.

Cons: Might be old school but on a case this size I would still like to have the ability to put a disc drive like Blueray or DVD drive. Some games require you to put disc one in the drive while you play so you have to use an external drive with this.

Overall Review: First let me say this is my first Fractal case and it will definitely not be my last. I am extremely impressed with the materials and quality build. This case just looks "classy". Was easy to build with lots of room to work and fantastic cable routing. I did not feel like I was pressing the cables where they don't belong. There are so man venting options you can configure on this thing it is unbelievable. Don't get me wrong this case is hefty but I like that, it is not flimsy at all. Everybody who has seen it has commented how good it looks! Very clean look through the side window.

Have to say Thank You Fractal for really putting a lot of thought behind this case and keep quality of the build. Well done.

Amazing case 3/1/2020 8:13:22 AM

Pros: Has more than enough space for anything you will need. Fractal provides all the parts you will need for your basic set up. Including drive racks which not every company does.

The case is sturdy and the front LED panel is designed where you will not have a fear of breaking it when you remove or pop back on the front panel.

Tempered glass is made with quality.

Great air flow even with the tempered glass top on.

Cons: The case has some weight to it so if you're trying to put it up high be aware of that. It isn't really a con just something I had to deal with.

Overall Review: Note my motherboard does not have an RGB controller so your results may vary here.

Case LED are 5 volts. If your heat sink is ARGB, it uses the power differently and can short out controllers, it needs to be on its own separate connection. The external RBG controllers have a limit of 2.5 amps so, if you do not have this separate controller. A few things can happen: your front LED will not be as bright and all your colors will appear pastel, the case LED will not be as bright or your controller burns out. I bought a: mustpoint 12 way RBG splitter. Which fixed this issue.

I have 6 fans, 4 LED strips and an ARGB heat sink. Initially I did not take into consideration the cases LED which is why I needed the extra mustpoint controller.

I have the tempered glass top on and I have more than enough air flow. This case is also extremely quite.

My girlfriend bought me this case as a surprise so I had to troubleshoot on the fly. All in all this is an amazing case. The qaulity and practically is bar none. If you have any issues with the case I suggest contacting Fractal Design their customer service is outstanding.

Great mid-tower case. 2/20/2020 9:50:55 AM

Pros: Very well built case, with support for all types of connections.
The case is very sturdy, while being extremely configurable for any type of setup.
The lighting configuration is very simple and easily managed for your personalization.
I used this case with an Aorus Master for my setup. The CPU temps are extremely low (21c) while overclocking 5Ghz. This case has very good airflow.

Cons: None!
Some people may say it's a heavy case (30lbs), I like to think of this case as well built.

Overall Review: I would recommend this case for all users. You are getting a great case for the money with this one. Great value!

Good upgrade 2/5/2020 9:52:54 PM

Pros: -Hefty
-Very spacious
-Good stock fans

Cons: -Hefty (if you're against that sort of thing)
-Underwhelming case RGB

Overall Review: I upgraded virtually every part of my old rig and was surprised how dated and bad my last case was. This case has more than enough space for my needs and looks great when lit up inside with RGB peripherals.

My only complaint is that the case RGB is not as vibrant as I expected based on photos, and will honestly probably look out of place compared to whatever you have going on inside the case.

Otherwise it is a nice beefy case that feels sturdy and well built and is quiet. My RTX 2070 Super hasn't hit over 60 degrees for my 1440p gaming and I am only using the stock fans!

LED's Don't Work 1/21/2020 2:49:39 PM

Pros: Nice case, lots of space

Cons: The LED strips didn't work on arrival. The top strip was defective. Contacted Fractal Design and they quickly sent a replacement top panel. The replacement was also defective. I contacted Fractal Design a second time including a picture and a video that they requested. Fractal design has not responded in any way at this time.

Overall Review: This is my second Fractal design case and both have been good quality. I was impressed with their quick response time to my original issue. However, being sent a second defective part and having my complaint ignored takes away my desire to purchase their products in the future.

Fantastic Case 1/19/2020 1:36:07 PM

Pros: I agree with the last reviewer on all points. This is an absolutely gorgeous case. It's not overly flashy or in your face, it's has just the amount pizzaz to look different than your ordinary PC case, but won't raise many eyebrows. Understated and elegant are what I what I had read in reviews about this case and it delivered 200%. The LED bar looks awesome and has great definition; the colors blend together well and you never see any individual LEDs.

The flexibility to accommodate different PC builds goes above and beyond what I ever thought possible in a PC case. The storage layout (default) will hold an obscene number of drives, but even if you opt for the open-air layout (by removing the front drive stack) you can still fit two 3.5" and four 2.5" drives comfortably.

Case is BIG and built like a tank. Weighs 36 pounds in the box. You can detect some flimsiness when you completely disassemble all the modular components, but once you assemble it to the configuration you want, it's solid as a rock. Very substantial and heavy when the system is put together. Most everything about it (with the exception of a couple nitpicks [see below]) screams quality.

Cons: Couple minor nitpicks are my only gripes with this case:

The audio ports were not centered inside the holes in the top cover, they are misaligned by a mm or two. This is the hallmark of cheaper, bottom dollar cases so I was a bit annoyed to find this in what is very much a premium priced case; no excuse for this. I was able to bend them slightly to center up better, but they're still off a touch. Same goes for USB-C port to a lesser extent, it's tilted slightly and not perfectly centered. Neither affect the function of the case or ports.

Power and reset buttons have tactile feedback which is nice. As you press them firmly, you feel the switch depress which should be an indication that you pressed it. Problem is, the switch doesn't respond with a simple press-- it requires a more firm press beyond that. In other words, depress the switch (which you feel) and then press it just a bit harder or it won't register. The first few times you press them, you'll look back and nothing happened. Annoying, but after using them a while it becomes second nature just to press them very firmly, so it's not a big issue for me.

Included fans are quiet but far from performance/cooling oriented. Pretty sure they max out around 1000rpm and they're not PWM capable so you have to control speed with voltage (through the motherboard) which is not ideal. If you're looking for top notch cooling performance, at a minimum I would suggest replacing the rear fan, since this is crucial for removing the CPU heat. You can hardly feel any air exit through the back with the included fan.

Overall Review: I've been building PC's for about 25 years and out of all the cases I've ever purchased, I'm certain this is the one that brought the biggest smile to my face. I can't put into words how great this case looks. Most reviews I read constantly griped about how this is only a refreshed case based on an older design, but I'm a bit perplexed at that statement-- why redesign something that works so darned well? Like the old adage says, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I chose the dark tint model but in hindsight I would have preferred something with lighter tint. This tint is dark enough that at regular viewing distances (your chair/desk) you won't see anything but the LED lights inside and perhaps faint silhouettes of hardware near where the LEDs illuminate. To me, the light tint seemed a little too light according to pictures, so something in the middle would be my preference.. But I suppose you can't please everyone!

I went back and forth on which layout to use and finally decided on the open-air (with front drive cage removed) with the tempered glass top. The tempered glass top can changed to a perforated steel panel that accommodates fans and watercooling gizmos, but IMO, the top glass panel is one of it's greatest design aesthetics, so it stayed. Even with the front drive cage removed you can still fit two 3.5" and two 2.5" drives between the steel motherboard panel and the right-hand side panel. At first glance they seem rather squished in there with little cooling, but they fit comfortably and my 7200rpm 3.5" drive temps have never reached past 35C or so. There is room for another two 2.5" drives on top of the power supply cage, so this covers all my storage needs both now and in the future.

The cost of the case could probably go down if all the extra pieces and modularity were toned down, but I appreciate the flexibility and still believe this is an excellent case for the money, even if you don't need the extra bits they include.

Cooling performance seems "good enough," I suspect this isn't the greatest case if cooling is your #1 priority, as it seems they put a lot of emphasis toward lower sound levels. Installing the perforated top and replacing the rear fan with something faster would go a long ways toward improving cooling performance. That said, I have an air cooled Ryzen 2700 that's overclocked reasonably high and the temperatures are acceptable. I was able to fit a TALL Deepcool Neptune V2 (160mm height IIRC) CPU cooler with room to spare.

I was on the fence about using a case with no space for a 5.25" optical drive, but I understand the compromises involved in fitting a 5.25" drive bay. Maybe someday someone will figure out how fit one that's somewhat hidden, one that won't ruin the design and won't impede airflow. I always thought the small laptop drives would be appropriate for a desktop case where you could use a smaller opening that won't get in the way or look ugly. But I digress, so far I haven't missed it.

At the end of the day the combination of looks, space, cooling and quietness culminated in a case that you just can't beat. In designing a case, you can sacrifice any of those things to improve on the other(s), but this quite honestly exceeded my expectation in all areas.
