Question 1

So, I know it's a cherry mx red, but can you change the color of the keys at your own descretion? (like WASD as Blue, and everything else red, etc)

Also, does this keyboard fatigue your arms/fingers after extended use?

There is no way to change the colors that I can tell.   Although that would be rather cool.   But, I rarely look at the keyboard when typing.   the red backlight make it great at night to find where to place your fingers.  I type a lot and the tactile feel is nice and reminds me of an old electric typewriter.  the comfort is impressive and I love the sound the keys make.   I haven't gotten tired, arms or fingers, with extended use and I'm over fifty.

Yes, the keyboard uses Cherry Red key switches. I've owned the keyboard since the beginning of March. This is a very well made keyboard and I love it, but you may or may not like Cherry Red key switches. The keys make a sound when pressed which you may or may not like. I do love the pressure needed in order to press the keys as it takes  medium pressure in order to depress the keys. Cherry makes four different types of key switches so make sure you do your research before buying. The illumination is great and is adjustable without the need for any software. The red led backlit key switches do a great job without being in your face compared to other keyboard manufactures. I hope this clears up some of your questions.

Question 3

since it has usb 2.0 on it would the item i plug into it be faster if i plugged it into the usb 2.0 on my computer or the same? also would it be faster than plugging it into usb 1.0 on my computer? i was just wondering if there is any sort of delay.

First of all the difference between USB 1.0 and 2.0 or 3.0 is data transfer rate. USB 3.0 will have a higher data transfer rate versus 1.0. Other then that it really doesn't make any difference where you plug in your USB device. Even if you lose a little bit of transfer rate due to the distance between the keyboard versus plugging directly into the motherboard, it will not be noticeable by you.

can you individually light the keys? for example, only light up WASD and leave the rest of the keyboard dim or completely dark?

Well you could, but you'd have to pull all the LED bulbs out of the rest of the keys because I don't see anywhere in the software that allows this. They keys are easily removable however so this is possible.

Question 5

What is the length of the cord?

The cord is plenty long. It's around 6 feet in length. My keyboard is around 2.5 feet from the computer and I have it tie wrapped to take up the excess length.
