Has the quality improved since Logitech acquired Saitek?

I can speak from experience on how the product quality used to be, as I didn't own one before.  However, based on stories I've read about what the quality used to be like, I believe that they've improved.  I bought my Saitek HOTAS for use in the game Elite Dangerous, but it's functioned magnificently in a number of other games in both a full and hybrid capacity (by hybrid, I mean a combination of HOTAS and console controller or KB&M).

I've been knocking this thing about for years now, and I've yet to have any issues with drift.  No buttons, knobs, or dials failing. The software that runs the thing can be used to modify and customize a number of features ranging from LED intensity to trigger stages/sensitivity.  I have one personalized set-up that works with all my games, but I could create others on the fly if needed.

I've read complaints about things failing on the Saitek x52 pro series, even after the Logictech acquisition, but I've yet to encounter any of them.  Granted I take very good care of my electronics, and individual mileage can vary with any manufactured product.  In my opinion, a lot of the issues that people raise about structural failures (dials getting loose, stick squeaking, etc.) can be chalked up to PEBKAC.  That's just my two cents on the matter.  I understand that this response is quite verbose, and perhaps needlessly detailed, and for that you have my sincerest apologies for the sore eyes.  Mea culpa.

Has anyone any experience using this for X4: Foundations?

I've been using for x4 foundations and it works great. The game has a built in profile for the flight sticks so set up is super easy. You may want to remap some of the controls still though.
