Can you choose to use the plug in stereo cord instead of Bluetooth like on an airplane if you want?

Yes.  AND...you can use both.  You can pipe in sound from both the bluetooth and the wire.  I haven't tried that yet, though the manual says it can happen.  I have used the wire and it works perfectly fine with the wire.  Using the wire does not draw power from the battery.

hi. do the venture AF52 come with a Bluetooth dongle for desktop computer?

There is no Bluetooth dongle included; you'd need to purchase one separately.

I really like these headphones, by the way, and with this sale it's a great deal.

Can you use these in non-bluetooth mode (i.e. through USB wire or 3.5mm jack)?

Yes, they come with a male to male plug for the 3.5 jack and this is also useful for when the battery is dead because with them plugged in by the jack you don't even need our use the built in battery.

Is this compatible with PS3?

Yes it is. However after much headache & research, you can NOT use this to listen to game play or other audio (like youtube etc); which is something I would have liked so that I didn't disturb the roommates late at night... but hey they work for voice chatting.

Can they be used with a Bose radio? Will I need additional equipment?

If the Bose radio supports Bluetooth, then I don't see why not. I've hooked these babies onto my phone, tablet, desktop and laptop with a very generic Bluetooth USB dongle and it worked flawlessly. Only thing I can't quite get to work is only using the microphone without the sound through Bluetooth. These sound fantastic by the way, and can take quite a beating.

Is this compatible with Windows 8? I don't see it in specs, reviews, or in Q & A. I bought a Logitech set that wasn't, needed to return it, so I'm looking more carefully now.

I have a windows 7 computer, so I do not know if this works with windows 8.  It does work with windows 7 professional 64 bit.

Question 7

This is probably a stupid question, since I've NEVER found a Bluetooth headset with this option, but does anyone know if:
1.) The (rechargeable) battery is user-replaceable?
2.) This unit is multi-sync capable (i.e. it can be paired with more than one device -- like a PC & Cellphone -- at the same time, & offer the ability switch between them)?

1.) No, after just looking at the headphones doesn't seem like anyway to get at the battery to replace it but so far for me I've had no issues and the charge generally last for 2 and a half 8 hour days. 
2.)I'm sure it could be multi synced but I don't believe the headphones themselves have the ability to switch to pic or phone with just the press of a button.

Does anyone know if these will pair with a nexus 7 2013 fhd ?

From experience, they should work fine with any android based device that supports Bluetooth. I personally have connected to six different phones and my personal laptop with these headphones with the only problem that occurred was due to the driver software on my computer until I updated it.

It stopped pairing with my ipod. How do I make it work again?

Select the ipod settings Bluetooth. Locate the AF-52 My Device entry in the Bluetooth list. Touch, activate, the button to the right of the words "Not Connected". A new page will appear with the words "Forget This Device". Touch, activate, the words "Forget This Device". Go back to the Bluetooth settings page, list. Turn on your AF-52 headset by holding the power button down until you hear the word "pairing" and then release the power button. The AF-52 will now appear in your ipod settings Bluetooth list under "Other devices". Touch, activate, the AF-52 device in the list and wait until you the word "connected" appears next to it.

this headset is compatable with ios. I have paired it with my Ipad and my Ipod.
