It says 3m cable, is this literally a 3mm cable or is it 3.5mm?

The cable is 3 meters (>9 feet) long, and the plug on the end is a 3.5mm mini-stereo jack (the type that fits your iphone/ipod headphone jack).  These include a 1/4 audio jack adapter so you can plug in to a receiver or other pro/retro audio equipment.  The cable can be replaced with any standard 3.5mm stereo cable with a male end.

I read the earpads are NOT replaceable! Can someone confirm?

The ear pads are actually replaceable just not in the typical manner. The pad is glued/attached to a plastic backing which is held in place by 4 clips.  With a bit of force you can remove the ear pad.  There are different degrees of how well you can mod.  Check on line if you are interested.  In fact, I'm about to replace my ear pads myself once my replacement pads and rings arrive.

are these headphones wireless to use for tv ?

No, but the audio cable is detachable, I think you can add an wireless adapter to make it work wirelessly...but this one does have amazing sound quality and amazing comfort. It is open back though, so it's going to leak sound.

How is the bass on these headphones?

It is a open-back headphone so not very strong. It is very good for everything else just not bass. If you want a very open and alive sound these are good but if you want brain shaking bass look at some closed back phones.

Is the cable removable/replaceable?

Yeah, the jack is just at the bottom of the left earpiece.  If you look at all the pictures, you can see the jack at the bottom of the left earpiece in the last pic.  As others have mentioned, it is a standard 3.5mm jack.  They work great with my V-Moda Boom Pro mic for a nice headset, for example.

Are these wireless and will pick up sound from my Kindle?

No. These are wired. This means you will need to plug them into your Kindle. What you might be looking for are Bluetooth headphones.

Can these be used on a plane?

These are open back headphones. There is no sound isolation for either yourself or anyone around you. If you tried to use these on a plane, not only would you need to max out the volume to drown out the background noise, but you would probably get in trouble for blasting music at other passengers.

Can you buy the plastic clips anywhere that hold the headband padding?  Mine has popped off and I can't find any place to get a replacement.

I haven't looked but try search for Philips consumer electronics, maybe you have already. Sorry. I love mine and I have many others, some more expensive.

Will these work with a TV?

These are wired headphones. It will only work with anything that has a standard 3.5mm output. Otherwise, you will need to find an adaptor for the cable.
