Question 1

I noted the pictured unit has 2 standard USB ports and 1 micro USB port for input (charging).  In the reviews and on the manufacturers site it they talk about the charging the unit requiring a special cord only 2 inches long. Indeed other pictures not on Neweggs web site show a round charging input.  IS the unit not as pictured on your website or does it indeed have a standard USB input for charging?

It is as pictured, but it does not come with an actual AC adapter. One of the included micro USB adapters plugs into the included full size USB cord, and then you can charge the RAVpower by plugging the micro USB into the "IN" port on the device and the full size USB into a USB port on a powered device. It works just fine charging by USB. However, I have also discovered that if you have a micro USB power cable, perhaps from a mobile phone (my Google Nexus AC adapter has one of these) it will also charge just fine.

Yes.  6, 6 plus both work on this.  Not an (S) owner- but there is no reason why it wouldn't work for those, too.

Question 3

the headline says iphone 5 -but it's not mentioned on the extensive list of 'compatible with' ....does this actually work for iphone FIVE  ?

Yes, the power bank will work with any Apple phone; you'll just have to use your original lightning cable to hook up your iPhone 5 to the USB outlet.

You'll have to use either a separate micro USB cable in conjunction with your phone's wall charger, or the included coiled wire with micro USB adapter tip to charge the power bank itself though. The power bank does not include a wall charger, and unlike most Android phones the iPhone doesn't use a micro USB cable which you could use to charge the battery itself.

Question 4

All 4 of the blue lights are flashing when I plug it in to charge.  I left it like that overnight and they are still flashing. 
Is it still charging? 
Doesn't seem to turn on when button is pressed and no lights turn on.

I think Ravpower is leading power bank , I will recomanderd to everybody , it work exactly 100 percent as it's , the 10,000mah still working like new,  compare with other name brands the next one I like is Vinsic also good , but Ravpower is my first choice, us a fast charging too.  Thank you.

do you have to charge it our is it solar power or do you need like AA or AAA batterys? and can i use it for the galaxy note 4 and the ipod 4th generation?

It charges off of any micro USB charger, and it has two standard USB sockets to plug in any devices that use a USB cable to charge. It holds a charge for a long long time (think months), and works extremely week to charge your phone, iPod, or tablet when you're away from a power outlet.

I take mine on camping trips and any time I'm not sure I'll have an outlet to charge things. It was a very good investment, especially since I got it on sale. I'd definitely buy it again.

all 4 of the blue lights are flashing and would not turn off no matter how I tried with different method like click twice or hold for 5 secs.. how do I turn of all flashing lights?

The directions are wrong. press once quickly until you hear a click. (like how you click a mouse)

This product will transfer to any phone provided you have the proper cable connectors.  It has two USB ports so it works with just about everything.

it should be. the ravpower charger comes with an interchangable charging cable with mini usb, micro usb, and a few others. otherwise you can just plug a usb charger for your tablet into one of the two USB ports.

i highly recommend this item. holds a lot of power, and has been useful in many situations

This will work great for your situation. This device is like a portable battery pack. At home you can charge it up by plugging it into your computer's USB port or into the wall if you have a USB to AC adapter. Then when you take it to work the actual device has two standard USB ports for input so you can use the USB cable that came with your iPhone 5 to plug your phone directly into the battery pack. Then just click the power button on the device and it will immediately start charging.
