I purchased this phone for my father and when he took it to be connected to his existing Sprint carrier, they are telling him it is a prepaid phone. I did not order a prepaid phone but one that he could have connected to the carrier. I was also told by one of your agents that this phone would work on the carrier network. Let me know if this is correct as we do not want a phone that is prepaid.?

Which Carriers are CDMA?  Which are GSM?
In the U.S., Sprint, Verizon and U.S. Cellular use CDMA. 
AT&T and T-Mobile use GSM
