Does this docking station require installation software or can it be used as is?

I have it on a Windows 10 Pro system.

It can be used as is, but if you want to get the full resolution and 3 displays, the drivers help considerably. Also the driver appears to primarily be for Displayport and this is common to most port replicator/docking bars.

I have used it without the drivers and decided to install the driver due to my need for 3 monitors and full resolutions on each. Without the driver, the displays seemed to randomly "blip" (a very very fast single flicker).

The installation of the driver also added a DisplayLink tray icon which offers access to Display Link Manager, Audio Manager, and Network Manager, nothing super detailed behind each, just cleaned things up for me on my Lenovo E580 notebook.

Can you use this with a PC?

It should work with any PC that has a USB 3.0 port and will allow the installation of the display software.  Won't work without the software.

Will this work on my Samsung 700Z, Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2675QM CPU @ 2.20GHz, 8.00 GB RAM, 64-bit? I am looking to connect three monitors in my office?

It should work with no problem, I am using three monitors myself with one being a total different size and manufacture,  I also have an I7 but HP and Acer computer  systems.
