Sweeet! 6/11/2010 10:26:53 PM

Pros: Great case. No sharp edges. Tooless drive bays. Easy to work with. Plenty of room. Keeps everything running cool. One of the best cases I have ever bought. A little pricey but definitely worth the money. The giant fans are very quiet even at max settings though they can be turned down to cut out some noise.

Cons: Does not come with 2 200mm fans for the top. Two spots for em but only comes with one. Thermal take does not have any 200mm fans that you can purchase for the slot either though, you can purchase one from another company. The fan on the side of the case gets power through contacts that are mounted on the door of the case and it has to go on just right in order for the fan to come on. This can bee somewhat of a pain.

Good Case, Poor Door Fan Connector 5/17/2010 11:11:36 AM

Pros: -Good airflow. with lots of large fans.

-Lots of room.

-Fairly quiet. The fans are noticeable, but not annoying. You can use the controller to turn them down and they quiet down a bit.

-The two hard drive cages with attached fans are nice, even if I had a bit of trouble getting drives secured in the lower slots because of cramped access, the top ones are easy.

-The case is attractive and not overly showy with the lights off or you can light it up like a Christmas tree if you are into that kind of thing. (I admit it it is fun every now and then when showing it off)

Cons: -The door fan has a contacts that refused to connect when my side door was closed and the fan would only work while half closed. I tried moving them around but got fed up and just fastened them together, now my door is tethered to the case. I looked online and I am not the only one with this problem, it is even mentioned in the Tom's Hardware review.

-A bit noisier than my previous ANTEC case, but that is a trade off for better airflow.

-My MB (ASRock X58 Extreme 3) doesn't quite fit perfectly, the cutout for the CPU cooler is a bit off-centered and I had to push on the case a little to get the video card installed.

-When the case arrived the door fan was attached by one screw with the other three loose inside the case. I never did find one and had to replace it.

The case would have got 5 eggs if it wasn't for the door fan trouble, the rest of the comments are fairly trivial.

Overall Review: Two of the USB connectors for the top panel were loose when it arrived, but I should have checked that during the install.

I seem to be getting a fair bit of vibration from my optical drive. I secured the drive on one side with screws but the tool-less install side still seems a bit loose. This may be the drives fault, but it doesn't get used much anyway.

Decent case 5/4/2010 9:22:30 AM

Pros: Lots of room
Cutout for heat sink back plate installation
Decent fan layout
Lots of fans standard
Security lock standard

Overall a good case, plenty of standard fans, though each one is not very powerful, plenty of room for whatever you would need, and no sharp edges, making installation literally less painful

Cons: Two points that really bothered me about this case

1. False advertisement on the fan sizes: the top "200mm fans" are actually 170mm fans, and the side "230mm fan" is actually a 200mm fan. This detail makes it difficult to actually ADD more fans to the case if you unknowingly buy the incorrect fan size. Thermaltake also does not sell any of these fans in their online store, which is a big mistake since they left so much room in their case, but thats a different issue. Also each fan is not that powerful, but not a huge con.

2. May have just been an issue with my motherboard/heat sink back plate, but the current cutout is not placed far enough toward the front to actually install the heat sink that I bought, so I actually had to take the motherboard out of my case to install the heat sink when I upgraded.

Overall Review: Overall a good case, anyone who would simply use it right out of the box with no plans of adding any fans would do well with it, but beware the issue with fan sizes if you are looking for extra fans/replacement fans.

In this case:
core i7 860, 2.8Ghz
Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme processor heat sink
eVGA P55 forthewin!
GeForce GTS 250
Antec TruePower 850W

Awesome case 4/30/2010 7:10:06 AM

Pros: its got lots and lots of space inside(what u expect from a full tower) the fan LEDs are very cool, easy to understand manual, keeps the inside really cool. lots of HDD bays.
and its Thermaltake!

Cons: not for the average consumer because its a huge case, the side panel was tricky for me 2 open i thought it just slides out like my old Thermaltake case, but it actually opens up like a door. these are not really cons its just further description

Overall Review: i like newegg and buy all my stuff from them, but i found this case on ama$on for 155 and free shipping if ur a prime member.

Great Case 4/9/2010 8:49:46 PM

Pros: This case is really well built in my opinion. It has giant fans and great airflow. The fan controller does make a difference in the fan speed and the loudness of the fan, which wasn't very loud to begin with. A good case, I expect it to last quite a while.

Cons: The front color change fan occasionally isn't following the same color pattern as the other two. The top and side fan will be blue and the front fan will be green. This has only happened once, and it isn't a big deal and is solved by turning it off and back on.

Overall Review: This is my first rig I have built. I got this case because the graphics card I was looking at, the 4850x2, is a very long card, 11.5", and people had said they had some trouble fitting. Unfortunately, Newegg doesn't sell that card right now. According to the Thermaltake website this case can house a graphics card thats 13" long or close to that. You'll be able to fit almost anything you need in this case.

My Rig:

ThermalTake Element V
AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE (3.4 GHz)
MSI NF750-G55 AM3 NVIDIA nForce 750a
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB DDR3 1600
Western Digital Caviar Black 750GB

Nice case, few problems 3/30/2010 2:41:28 PM

Pros: This case has really cool LED fans (lots of settings for the leds, with blue, red, green lights), that keep the computer cool and are very quiet. It's heavy, but to be honest I like that, I know it's sturdy and can take a beating. Very clean, smooth finish. As far as hooking everything up it was easy, no problems with cables, and I threw in 3 optical drives and 4 hard drives, so I had SATA and power cable galore, but no problems whatsoever.

Cons: In order to take off the side panel you have to push up on these clips that put pressure on the top piece, and I actually broke mine because I pushed too hard. The top piece is nice but it just snapped, so that's a little cheap, so be careful when you're taking the side panel off. It's very open, so I wouldn't call this necessarily a con, but more of just be careful to clean your computer a lot or it'll build dust quickly. There is an empty fan slot on the top of the case that is said to measure 200mm, but in reality measures about 180mm or so, so I haven't been able to really get a fan for it because thermaltake doesn't make the fan you need and it doesn't measure 200mm.

Overall Review: Overall this really is a great case, sturdy, lots of room, a little old-fashioned HDD mounting, very cool LED's, very smooth cooling, with just the open fan slot and the top of the case being the -1 egg.

2/14/2010 11:22:58 PM

Pros: Hugh case lots of room for just about anything, (scratch about) excellent quality, ventilation and cooling fans are more than adequate, liquid cooling for "only extreme" cases, love the window to see my work at work, plenty of bays, SUPER easy access to entire system, all 5 fans are VERY quiet. I would recommend this case to anyone, good price good quality.

Cons: Top bay is useless, usb ports, switches, fan control and led's,should be in it not on top. Front and side fans should have filters this thing really pulls in the air, in fact I'm thinking of putting the side fan on a switch.

better then HAF 2/2/2010 2:55:29 PM

Pros: nice insides

lights are sweet and fans are ok, the fan contrler does make a diference, its not TO small

the latches on the side are perfect and the window is medium sized

ruberized fan cables

the psu bridge and every thing in the overview work/is wonderfull.

im useing this case for a second build becase it has better flow then the haf, water cooling is still HAF.

Cons: my dogs took a leak in the front fans and i had to wipe down my HDD and clean all the filters

no side fan filter, but dust is easy to take out becaseu of the quick connect fan and the latches.

Overall Review: if your looking at this case for high airflow and ROOM FOR A 5970 get it. it can and will fit also the hdd cages can be romoved for more 5.25 drives
