Are the colors adjustable or is it only blue, like the photos?  I can't find that anywhere in the specs. Thanks!

Hey hey. No they are only blue. I don't think you can change them. I like it though, and this KB works very, very well. I'm not disappointed with my purchase,  however I would have liked green keys haha

Hi Trevin,

I use the keyboard with the brightness set to low in the evening, and set to the 2nd level during the day.  It is not too bright for me.

I find the keyboard to be perfect for me with the Brown switches.  Not too clicky feeling or loud.  Please bear in mind that it is a mechanical keyboard and is not silent.  The build quality is excellent and it is quite sturdy.

I find it great to game with enjoyable to type on; I am a Systems Engineer and work from home often.  My wife, who is a crack typist, loves it.

The blue switch option doesn't say cherry mx, just blue mechanical. I'm looking for a blue switch so I'm wondering if it's a cherry switch or no?

Although this is the "POSEIDON", Tt also makes a "POSEIDON Z" which comes with Kailh's Cherry-clone Blue switches, you were probably looking at that. Regarding the POSEIDON Z, they are indeed 3rd party switches, but they're made to be Cherry-clones (supposedly exactly the same as Cherry MX switches) since Cherry's patent ran out and they haven't renewed.

If you're looking for a blue switch budget mech keyboard that's blue LED backlit, the POSEIDON Z is probably your best option. I wouldn't worry about the fact that it uses Kailh brand switches since it comes with a 5 year warrenty.

Nope. This keyboard is about as basic as it gets. No audio or USB pass-through. For the money though this is an awesome keyboard.

Not tested, but I imagine so. This is a basic USB keyboard - it does not require (or include) drivers from the mfg., as there are no additional features/keys that use them. Illumination and media controls are shared with the F-keys via a Fn-key modifier. What you get is a very solid, fully-mechanical keyboard with illumination, without paying for bells & whistles which aren't necessary. I'd recommend to anyone, unless you need macro keys or other additional features for some reason.

How easy is it to remove the keys on this keyboard for cleaning?What type of key puller should be used with this keyboard?  Is there a way to order replacement keys for this model?

Keys are easy to remove. If you are able to get a good grip, you could pull them off with your fingers. A standard key puller found when looking up "mechanical key puller" should do the job as well, or, if you're cheap, just use two butter knives or something similar. Replacement keys should be easy to come by. I'm not sure of the official Thermaltake route, but most Cherry MX key caps are standard in size, so aftermarket key replacements options are abundant.

Has anyone used the CM Storm Ultimate (brown switch edition) compare to this keyboard?

I have the eSPORT POSEIDON and  CMSTORM Quickfire. The CMStorm was great but the Quickfire edition did not have the numpad. I bought the eSPORT POSIDON because Dayz uses num pad keys. Very happy with both. They both have the same build quality. My Quickfire had cherry red and the POSIDON has brown switches. I can defiantly type faster on the brown switches. I use the Belkin speed pad for most WASD gaming. Wish it had brown switches. Brown switches have a softer click and about half the noise. I went with esport for the second keyboard because it was $30.00 cheaper. Both the keyboards you are looking at have quality brown switches.

Can this be used w a PS2 connector?

The keyboard comes with a USB connection only. If you have a USB to PS2 adapter then it would work
