The case you are inquiring about has a single 5.25in bay for a standard disc drives. There is no drive included with the case. A standard tray load or even a slot load type drive should fit fine in this case. Do note that if you install a disc drive it may limit your choices in installing case fans in the frontmost top fan opening if you choose to add them.

what optical drive would you recommend for this case?

Any standard internal DVD/BLURAY drive will do fine, but I would go with a black faceplate. Does this come with a usb 2.0 to usb 3.0 adapter for motherboards that have no usb 3.0 headers?

No, the case does not come with adapters that would allow you to connect usb 3.0 ports to usb 2.0 headers on your motherboard. I had to buy them separately.

Question 4

The case says it supports up to 14 inches for the gpu  I just want to know if  an Gtx 970 Asus would have any trouble with the far right of the case where the motherboard meets the side that is actually more inward  would there be any issues with that?

If you are referring to the raised area there the optional ssd mounts are located you should be okay as the graphics card itself is flat on the bottom side. though your card may cover some of your sata ports on the motherboard itself .

How many bays for storage?

It has : 
1 x optical bay at top. 
2 x 3.5 drive + 1 x 2.5 drive at the bottom
1 x 3.5 or 2 x 2.5 drive at the back (hidden)

If you are going to install drives at the back, you need power connectors that are flat. Also you cannot use power connectors in the middle of the of the wiring.

Just install drives at the bottom cage and use the back only if you have to.

Question 6

Do you think this case can be used with a water cooling kit? .. I have a Corsair H60 and I want to use it with a GTX 670. the Last case I had was XION-XON560 but my graphics card didnt work since my PCI slot was so close.. Its a P8H67-M PRO if it matters

It definitely can. It advertises support for two dual 120mm radiators and an additional single 120mm radiator. I'm using mine with a Swiftech H220X which is a dual 120mm radiator, it required me to remove the optical drive mount due to the large reservoir and pump built into the rad which wasn't a big deal to me, a standard aio or radiator should fit fine, double thickness will be close if you want a fan on both sides or in push-pull. You'll be able to mount the H60 in the front (intake for cool air straight to the rad), back, or top (for exhaust)  with no issues in any position.

I bought this case. Did anyone else have grounding issues with this model? Haven't seen this in my 7 years of working on system. :p
