Question 1

Is this drive seen a one logical drive, for examply, C drive.   Or is it a drive C (SSD) and drive D for the 1TB?

Windows sees this as 2 drives. Once you install Windows on the 120GB SSD you have to run the software (which comes on an included thumb drive or is downloadable) so that windows can recognize the 1TB HD. Performance on the 1TB is ok but not great and sometimes there is lag when playing video. I normally just transfer the video to the SSD and it plays fine. The SSD could be  better. As other reviews have noted it's not the fastest SSD out there but with anything there are trade offs. If you only have one 2.5 slot and you want an SSD for your OS without giving up massive storage then this will do the trick. overall I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

Question 2

Is this only for laptops or will it work with a PC that has a 2.5 inch bay?

Question 3

I am building a new desktop PC with an ASUS Z97-A motherboard and a i7 processor.  Will this drive be compatible in this situation?  Can it be used in conjunction with another HDD or hybrid drive which would be secondary to this one?

I bought it for a laptop, which is where I think it serves its best purpose, but it ought to work fine in a desktop.  You won't need to fret master/slave since it's SATA.  It's 2 separate drives--not a partition as some others have tried to portray it: SSD in position 1, mechanical drive in position 2, requiring a special driver to access it.  But no other SATA drive that you hook up to your MB is going to interfere with it.  Honestly though, unless you're out of SATA connectors, you're better off with separate drives.  If your CMOS stops recognizing the SSD, you may lose access to the mechanical drive--where all of your data resides if you set it up as they recommend.  That design flaw isn't MB dependent either.  Personal experience talking here.  I tried 3 MBs and none of them could read through to the mechanical drive. Best keep regular backups.

Will this work in a Sony Vaio SVE1513JCXW series laptop running windows 8?

I honestly don't know I have it working on Toshiba Satellite LS505 - S5984 laptop and it's been working great. I have Windows 7 Home Premium running on the solid-state drive my movies pictures and documents on the 1 terabyte hard drive. I've have been using the 1 terabyte hard drive for my Plex Media server. I have a program running that gives me a life expectancy it says I still have an estimated life expectancy of 8 years 3 months and 12 days

When I have this totally installed, when I download software and games will it automatically install to my harddrive? Is it possible to make that happen? Because some software doesn't allow you to change where to download the software or file too.

Not sure what your "automatically install to my harddrive" question is, but I can tell you that *most* software packages allow you to specify a location.   Sometimes the option isn't made very clear, but usually if you see a selection for installation options there will be a place you can choose a destination directory.  Once again, it won't be automatic, you have to do a little work during the install process to insure you get things onto the partition you want them in.  Obviously since your space on the SSD partition is limited, you want to put everything possible outside of the actual OS onto the regular hard drive.
I've found a few things that simply did not have such an option, fortunately they've been few and far between.   If they don't give you the option and end up in the typical c:\program files folder I'm afraid you're just gonna be stuck with them there.

Question 6

I Purchased one of these a few months back, and I noticed that when I'm playing music, the music will cut out for about one second than continue playing. This never happened on the corsair SSD I had in before. Do I have a defective drive? I hope not because I don't have a hard drive big enough to back up all this data. But I'm no where near filling up the SSD part or the 1tb part. I have maybe 300GB on the 1TB HDD and I still have 86.1GB left on the TB SSD Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I have used mine for over a year w/o problems.  There could be several issues.  Possible that it could be the drive, but I would look at other issues, first.  Try playing your music with another player (e.g., Windows Media Player, iTunes, RealTime Player, etc.  If it does the same thing then it's probably not the player.  There are a ton of factors involved with this type of problem - from not enough memory in your system, to full or corrupt temporary files / directory (I always recommend to my customers to delete their Temporary Files once a month).  First thing I'd do is a Chkdsk on both partitions (right click on the drive under My Computer, left click on properties; click on Tools tab, then left click on "Check" drive, left click on OK).  The primary drive (C) will have to be checked when you restart the computer.  Good luck.

I have a Samsung laptop (model NP350U2B-A01US).  Is this hard drive compatible with my laptop?

Thanks, everyone.  I was worried because the specs say that it may not be compatible with all ultrabooks.  I didn't want to drop the 200+ just to find out it didn't fit.  I've got it installed and it runs great.  Laptop boots in about 34 seconds from the time I hit the power button until the CPU indicator light goes out (including entering the password).  From sleep mode, it starts in under five seconds.  Applications are fast - faster than my iPad almost.  Thanks for all of the input!

Is this a true hybrid drive that handles storing to the flash vs. the hard disk or is it 2 drives on one chassis?  From what I read in reviews I get the impression it is the latter.

I ordered this for an Asus k52j and got the occasional stutter problem when using this drive.  Updated the firmware as directed from the WD website to no avail.  I still use the laptop on occasion and it frustrates me every time.

Would this drive be compatible with a PS4 system?

After doing a quick search, I found a Tom's Hardware article, dated around this time last year, that tested a few hard drives, with the one in question being one of them.  From that article:

"The idea is that you choose where you want to put your operating system (SSD), applications (SSD), and user data (hard drive). Unfortunately, the PlayStation never let us get that far, giving us an error that the OS needed a drive with at least 160 GB. As a result of how Western Digital sets this drive up, it simply won't work with the PS4."

So, I guess technically it does work, but not as intended.  You and I are probably better off just getting a hybrid drive.
