Does this come with the guide that the old Battle Chests used to include? (the WAY old one came with a BC and Vanilla guide)

Yes, it comes with a guide.  I don't know what the old ones were like but this one is colorful, has way more details than I will ever need, and is about 3 magazines thick.

is this game compatible for the iMac computer?

Yes it most definitely is. Blizzard has always been good about making all their games support both platforms Though I believe the system requirements are different. I know they are pushing OSX 10.7 now and it may be required soon (next xpac maybe) for those still running 10.6.8. FYI I have a MacBook Pro running 10.6.8 and ran wow on it for years though it did warn me I think the last time I logged in about it.

Question 3

Does it come with the same display as the picture? because there is a new display with the female elf from the burning crusade, for the new battle chest, and I personally dont want the new display, I want the old Display with the purple female elf, the male elf with the dranei and the Litch king? It seems in stores theres only the new display, not the old one :(??
