this inquiry is sent to customers like myself, so my response is not professional, however I will tell you that this hard drive fits most any laptop I have ever seen. Unless you have some sort of proprietary hard drive that is unique to your laptop, I don't see this being an issue.

This webpage says that the drive is 2.5"  but the western digital website says it is 3.5".  I called WD sales support and they also said the drive is 3.5".  Please clarify?

Yes. Any 2.5 hard drive will work with any laptop. There's no incompatible hard drives anymore. There's no special drivers or anything for hard drives.
