Not a trained expert in the area, but... Yeah, great reputation, great value, pretty large. 
Nothing quick like a SATA SSD (6x) and far from an NVMe (1800x). 
Classically HDD only now for "full backups", "local" rather than cloud...having said that, storage, backups, restoration, encryption...all interact and your particular needs might steer you into external drives for images, cloud, additional (many free) or not-free software like Macrium/Asconis True image (You DO get a "lite" version of the latter, FREE, with this drive, but FOR this drive or other WD/SanDisk drives only (you can move things and all...but not automatic, and NOT incremental/differential/ad nauseum). 
But between Windows tools and the free Asconic, might be all YOU need, YMMV. 
For DEEP and DEEP DEEP storage, HDD price per GB still hard to beat, and while they CAN fail, their mode of failure different from NAND storage, which at least reduces a common failure point. 
The LARGER BLUE drives are CMR (likely what YOU want for backing up, vs SMR). Worth a couple minutes your dime reading about THAT subtlety. Best of luck.
