Does this hold one or two 2.5" Drives?

This bracket holds one (1) 2.5" drive.
It screws to the bottom flat side of the brqcket with four screws and it attaches to the drive bay with screws on the side of the bracket.

Question 2

Will this be suitable for an SSD to be mounted into a hard drive bay specifically in a Dell Vostro 260 Desktop? This desktop has rails that it needs to be attached to and then slid the rails slide into a slot, and is then fastened in place with a screw on the top.

That's exactly what I did with mine.  You should be able to attach the rails to the mounting kit.  If not, I think you may be able to allocate other space in the case for the drive.  According to Dell Vostro 260 owner manual, there is a 3.5" mount just below the 5.25" DVD drive bays.  You could probably mount the SSD there without an adapter.  The only issue might be needing additional power leads.  If you only have one DVD drive, there should be an additional power connector for the SSD there. While you could get a "Y" adapter and use the existing leads, I recommend updating to a newer power supply with more leads and better efficiency/power rating.  Shouldn't be more than $40-$50.  There seem to be plenty of SATA ports so that won't be an issue.   Good luck, have fun.

Question 3

Wanting to replace SAS 3.5" Hot Swap Drives in a HP DL140 G3.  I will need to use the HP drive caddies.  It looks like the adapter will offset the 2.5" SSD to align with the SAS  fit but will it mount on the HP carrier?  I need this fix for several clients.

Probably not. I found the holes did not line up when I wanted to mount the drive in an HP xw4600. My workaround was to also use a 5.25 to 3.5 adapter and mount the SSD below the optical drive. I also tried several other adapters with similar disappointing results. None of the adapters I tried had mounting holes exactly like a 3.5 inch drive. HP caddies are unforgiving in this area. You may be able to work around this by drilling new holes in the carrier. No screws are included, and I ended up using self tapping metal screws.

this is slim form factor 3.5 drive tray, should be a question to apple since they overengineer sometimes.  I would say 75% yes.  if its just an ssd you're adding you might just consider gluing it in the 3.5" bay.  its not like ssds fail or get damaged if slammed.  just be aware the metal housing can short out a board if it has any mobility to a circuited region of the computer.

Will this work in an imac?

Depends on which system you actually have.  However, judging by the abundant listing of iMac systems on their site, I would think it should.  The best I can advise you is to visit their site yourself and use their adviser tool to select your full system and get the results.  I can't post the address here, but it's easy enough to find if you just search for Crucial.

          If you have the Silver Tower (the older version), then, it should fit. Keep in mind that it doesn't include any installation screws so you'll have to use whatever screws are either already in the case or on the SSD you intend to use this bracket with.

If you have the new Black Conical design Mac , you may not need the Bracket in order to mount a Flash drive being that these newer model come factory equipped with Solid State Drives from what I have read. These models are probably built differently as far as HDD mounting bracket design.
