Will this be suitable for an SSD to be mounted into a hard drive bay specifically in a Dell Vostro 260 Desktop? This desktop has rails that it needs to be attached to and then slid the rails slide into a slot, and is then fastened in place with a screw on the top.

This bracket did not work for me. There was no easy way to mount the adapter to the 3.5" HD tray in my Antec tower which uses the 4 attachment points on the bottom of a normal 3.5" HD. Mounting using side rails could very well work for you.
