Question 1

How is the texture of the front of this thing? is it glossy? or matte?

the case i use has a matte finish. it's really like a black metal, but plastic usually looks just fine if it's a textured finish.

what i don't want is smooth/glossy, nor do i want brushed metal look.

Its sort of similar to a powder finish its not glossy at all,at best you could say its a flat satin finish and its  very thick and looks good in my tower.I have had no issues with fitting it looks as though it was built into the tower.

Question 2

Hi, I would like to know if I can use this product to mount a hard drive inside a computer. Is it possible that I can use this as a bay just for the hard drive, since I'm not interested in purchasing these with coolers? Also, does this product come with the front part that covers the hard drive?

This product is used to house a 3.5" front-facing drive in a 5.25" housing. For example, I use them for putting the 3.5" card readers in my 5.25" openings for optical drives. It does not come with a cover for the front, so you'd see the drive if you used it for a standard hard drive. I hope that helps!

It should but what I liked about this product is it was made of plastic and could drill holes in it where I needed them to be to line up with the case I have this in. I used a Corsair 200R case.
This product has the standard openings for 5 3/4 openings to fit 3.5in devices so yes, it will work.

Is this item compatible with the Rosewill 2.0 Internal 3.5" all in 1 card reader?

John I used the BYTECC to mount the Roswill 3.0 card reader. Had no problems with mounting the bracket. Fits like a glove inside my SYX computer.

anyone know if this is compatable with the VANTEC UGT-IH203 2-Port USB 3.0 Front Panel?
specs say this is ugt, but this is not listed for the bytecc.

It should work just fine. Look at where the mounting screws line up. I have this bracket for a similar card reader and USB port hub for the front panel.
