Pros: Attractive and sold feel but this beauty is only skin deep.
Cons: Doesn't work on functioning USB3 port. Bytecc's tech support was ineffective and not responsive.
Overall Review: This experience was very disappointing. I installed a fine WD 1TB ‘Black’ Drive into this enclosure to find that it did not work on the USB3 ports of my mobo. It did work properly on the USB2 ports. On the USB3 port it would spin up and slow down repeatedly as though there was a power problem. Bytecc’s Tech support was responsive at first but couldn’t solve the problem and stopped responding to my emails. I have the latest USB3 driver and the latest BIOS on my mobo and have verified the mobo USB3 port. Newegg agreed to refund my purchase price but I’m still out shipping costs in both directions for a ‘USB3’ product that doesn’t work on my USB3!
