Is this what I need to make my computer monitor "wireless"  I need to put my monitor about 7 feet away from my computer and I cannot connect with a vga cable (it would need to stretch across a walkway)  I am using a wireless keyboard and mouse.  I do have a plug in available?

The wireless audio/video signal needs a clear path that is free of all obstacles (including people).  I'm afraid your audio/video signal would pause every time someone walked by, and you would most likely lose your picture completely if someone stopped between the two antennas.  If at all possible, run cables up and over the walkway.  If you do buy one of these, also buy a USB extension cable.  This will let you improve the antenna's position.
