Is this good for shooting kids' sports like soccer and softball?

This should work just fine for it. The burst is pretty good, but I would recommend getting a pretty fast card to keep up with it. I was using a 20 MB/s card and it was frustrating. The only thing I would consider is if you need this camera or the t3i. They both take equivalent photos. The t5i is significantly better for recording videos, but if that is not a desired use, it is a lot of extra money to pay for the couple extra features it offers.

I see "Special Offer", does that mean the tripod and memory card is included, and free with the shipment of this camera?

I Don't Know What Special Offer You Are Looking At But I Got A Drew Card And Bag. I Tried To Avoid The NOn Newegg Sites.

will this camera and lens (75-300) accept 1.4 or 2.0 extenders?

I haven't used and extender so I don't know. I would be interested to know too if you find out from other people. I did use a hood and a filter. make sure get the one that's 67mm
