WHAT DOES THE MOTION SENSER LOOK LIKE, SIZE ETC?

The motion sensor is about 4 in x 4 in and is brown. The Base station is about 4 in x 4 in and about 2 in tall and is black. I am well satisfied with mine. is easy to install.

can anyone post what frequency band this operates on?

Actually the frequency doesn't matter much as the unit really isn't great. The one I had wasn't reliable in sensing, the spring battery contact melted the plastic behind it in the remote unit. Had to repair that. Then it got to where it just didn't work at all.
  I found a Swann unit SWHOM-DRIVEA that seems twice as sturdy and works decent so far...... been about 5 months
