Is it's polling rate 1000hz compatible?

I don't know what that means. Your knowledge exceeds mine. It functioned with my ibm think pad. I never used with my newer laptop.

It works flawlessly on Linux, but I haven't been able to try it on a Mac yet, so this probably won't be much help. I can't imagine why it wouldn't work on a Mac though, it's just a simple USB/PS2 interface, nothing fancy.
