32 bit operating systems fail to recognize anything over 3.5 GB of RAM. Since your machine is 64 bit, you don't have this concern. The only remaining obstacle is compatibility. As far as THAT goes, all I can tell you is that this RAM works fine in my Dell Inspiron 15 5555. Will it work in YOUR machine? Probably. That's the best I can offer. It's also worth mentioning that the biggest change I've noticed since the upgrade from 6 to 16 GB is a drop in battery life...then again, I don't use that computer very much. As they say: " If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I hope this helps.
