The two parts may be installed in the same system but not within the same memory bank. Use like modules within a memory bank. This system supports either Unbuffered ECC, Registered ECC or Load Reduced memory. Mixing Unbuffered, Registered, or Load Reduced modules is not supported within this system. DDR3 modules automatically clock down depending on which Intel Xeon processor is used and the number of modules installed.
