RDIMMs Expansion: 6 Sockets (3 Banks of 2) This system supports Intel Core i3 and Xeon processors. When using Core i3, memory installed must be ECC UDIMMs ONLY. Core i3 does NOT support Reg ECC RDIMMs. We offers "K2" Kit part numbers for Dual Channel mode. Kit part numbers consist of two Single Rank, Dual Rank, or Quad Rank modules. Reg ECC DIMMs (RDIMMs) run at 1333MHz with two or four DIMMs installed, 800MHz with six DIMMs installed. ECC UDIMMs run at 1333MHz with two or four DIMMs installed, cannot populate last bank (up to 4 DIMMs only). Quad Rank RDIMMs run at 1066MHz with two DIMMs, 800MHz with four DIMMs, cannot populate last bank (up to 4 DIMMs only). System supports x8 DRAM modules only. This system supports either Registered ECC or Unbuffered ECC memory. Mixing Registered ECC and Unbuffered ECC modules is not supported within this system.
