Cooler Master's Real Power Pro1000 RS-A00-EMBA PSU is designed with the power user in mind. This 80 Plus certified unit has a rated continuous output capacity of 1000W with a max peak output of 1200W. Not only is it a SLI certified unit, it is also compliant with ATX 12V v2.3 and EPS 12V v2.91.

The 24-pin motherboard connector is backed up by both a 4-pin and an 8-pin CPU connector. There are 6 Molex and 8 SATA connectors for drives and other peripherals. The PCIe connectors (four 6-pin and two 8-pin) have bead core protection to minimize EMI and electrical noise. Two floppy drive connectors are included, just in case. The six +12V rails are rated at 18A each for plenty of discrete power.

Keeping everything cools is a 135mm fan with an automatic speed control. The back panel is a honeycomb mesh for unrestricted air flow. The combination results in a low noise rating of only 16dBA.

wow this thing is a tank 1/26/2016 7:01:43 PM

Pros: I just checked and I have had this thing almost 10 years now. It has survived more builds than I care to think.

Cons: none

Overall Review: Looking back, this was a good buy. It has outlasted quite a few other builds I have done for other people.

solid as a rock 3/16/2010 4:02:05 PM

Pros: This PSU has delivered an absolutely flawless performance for the year I have owned and used it. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a very reliable PSU that won't croak on you in a week and fry all your stuff.

Cons: It's somewhat pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Overall Review: Don't skimp on the important stuff.

Lots of power.....lots of INSERT_BAD_WORD_HERE 12/19/2009 11:21:50 PM

Pros: Lots of connecters, lots of power

Cons: After the first couple of months the PSU started causeing the computer to randomly restart and get the blue screen of death. I never thought it would be the PSU, but after extensive testing (and 9 months of experimenting with different operating systems......linux anyone?) I am positive it is the PSU causing this.

Overall Review: Right now seems like theres alot better deals out there that seem less risky......

Good but hit or miss customer service 12/15/2009 4:12:53 PM

Pros: 1000 Watts!!! Has plenty of cables for just about everything. Nice shiny mirror finish. Pretty quiet. 5 year warranty!

Cons: Where is the on off switch?? It doesn't have one. Would be nice if it was modular. Would be nice if it had 2 six pin pci-e connectors on one cable. Coolermaster eRMA is very slow! 5 days and no response from the company when the power supply went on the fritz.

Overall Review: Its a good value for the price, but if you need service, it is almost not existent. Newegg Rocks!!

Ticks me off! 10/31/2009 1:55:35 PM

Pros: 1000WATTS, worked good for the first couple of months

Cons: causes random shutdowns and restarting of your computer, also causes your sytem to get the blue screen of death. I never thought it could have been the PSU causeing this, but after doing some research and testing my components, I am almost positive its this PSU. I'm gonna try an RMA and see if its just a bad PSU.

very dissapointed... 10/10/2009 5:55:38 PM

Pros: Well built looking PSU...shiny, nice fan, moves a lot of air

Cons: You would think a close to $400 PSU would be a well built one.....but...
Can not handle the system =\
Computer randomly shuts down and restarts when under-load. I tested EVERYTHING on my build....GPUs, RAM, tempts, etc etc. All came down to this power supply. No BSOD, nothing..just a total shut-down. Gets EXTREMELY irritating. I am not even running a tri-SLI nor a full ram extra fans...

Overall Review: running: i7 920
Asus p6t6
6 gigs ddr3 ram
2x Asus matrix GTX285
3HDDs (1t, 750g, 500g)
