CM Storm SF-19 - Large Gaming Laptop Cooling Pad with Dual 140 mm Turbine Fans and Multicolor LED Lighting

Pros: Got this to replace another Cooler Master Unit that was not working as well as I wanted. This one puts out great air, and keeps a Core I3 or Core I5 laptop cool. This is a heavy duty cooler, you won't want to sit with this on your lap. It's made for cooling a serious laptop. Works great with my Dell 17".

Cons: Fan on high speed is a little noisey, and does have a little vibration on high speed, but so far no fan failures and I need the cool air.

Overall Review: Worth the money. Don't waste your time with the othe brands.

Pros: Excellent Cooling High Fan RPM was is achieved off of a 12V .75A External Power Supply (which frees up USB devices to power themselves off of the USB bus). 4x USB 2.0 Hub (eliminating the common problem of a lot of Laptop coolers: Lost USB port(s)). Lighting is a nice touch.

Cons: Power connector inevitably fails. The input jack is bound to become loose after multiple disconnections and reconnections (which are bound to happen when you use the cooler as advertised and carry it (via handle) from location to location. USB 2.0 Hub is not powered by A/C adapter and draws its power from the USB bus which can lead to power surges on the USB port or failure of devices to connect or turn on due to lack of power (i.e.: 2.5" HDD's, Rechargeable Video Game Controllers).

Overall Review: I debated over the long run whether to rate this with 3 stars or 4 stars. In the end I decided on 3. Although I've owned this more than a year, the fact that it failed due to an inherent design flaw for using a product as advertised (even sparingly) leads me to knock it down. I own 2 other cooling pads (Targus Feat. 4x USB 2.0 Hubs) which I have had for more than 3 years; each of them still work to this day.

Pros: It does the cooling job, it cooled my laptop while playing nba 2k12(cpu temp late 70's with notepal U2 but it runs around early 70's C SF-19 on between low ~ med rpm) big fans, it's loud, but when you play game, it's not that bad

Cons: It vibrates when it's on full power, even I put my laptop on, it vibrates as without the laptop on it.. which it worried me (15.6 inch laptop, Lenovo ideapad Y570) I expected to vibrate, but it was too much for me. I do not know the reason why but the idle temps seems to be higher than the U2 or with out the SF-19

Overall Review: I am returning this cooling pad only with one day use because of the vibration(used it on 15.6inch laptop).. I might be wrong, but it's not good for hard drive.. so I decided to return it, and get notepal u3(if the return gets approved) or keep using u2 not decided yet.. anyway, it does the job as it said in the pros because I only ran it on med rpm for the vibration issue, but it did do the job. in my own opinion, it might be better off to buy other cooling pad if the size of the laptop is less than 17"(this is only my opinion) *sorry for really bad english.

Pros: Keeps my laptop very cool. Is very quiet until you crank the fans to max. Its very hard to find a laptop cooler with an AC adapter, most of them just swallow a USB port even though they say

Cons: Large, can be hard to find something to put it in if it is meant to be very mobile. Can vibrate some and is audible when fans are maxed. You can move the fans around but not much at their size. Not really all cons if you anticipate it.

Overall Review: Was bigger than I thought it would be (yeah I looked at the specs but didn't really get out a ruler and determine its real size compared to laptop). The cooler I had previously said it would accomodate a 17" laptop and the laptop practically engulfed it and so when this one said it would accomodate a 19" I thought, swell, it will fit perfect but it is much larger than I anticipated. If you have a 19" laptop this will do very well.

Pros: Keeps the CPU and GPU's in my Alienware M17x 10 to 15 degrees (Celsius) or more cooler even when playing games like Crysis 1 & 2. Adjustable fans are awesome. The USB hub works great. I haven't noticed anything wrong with this thing yet.

Cons: None that I know of!

Overall Review: If you complain about it not being USB powered or the fans getting too loud, your probably looking at the wrong product. This thing is for gaming computers, not some little sony lappy you cuddle on the couch with.

Pros: Looks great with my ASUS G73-JH. Quiet on low fan speed. Lights are great. Newegg RMA is outstanding.

Cons: First one I received worked great for a week before the LED light board shorted out and started smoking. RMA'd back to Newegg and total turn around was about a week. I did pay for return shipping as anyone who knows anything about online shopping expects this. Second one lasted on day before the mini USB port fell off. I do not abuse my equipment. Not going to RMA will just order a 5 Pin Mini USB port and attach it myself. Really disappointed in Cooler Master quality. Costs too much to ship back multiple times. I can understand getting a defective product sometimes but this is poor build quality.

Overall Review: I would consider another brand.

Pros: Fans are positioned well and push a good amount of air. It's comfortable to place on your lap but a bit large to move around. The extra USB slots can be useful, but i haven't tried them.

Cons: The Power chord, if this thing has 1 issue it's the power cord, it's short and i mean like 3 feet shorter than it should be. It also goes bad after about 7 months if you move your laptop around. I have to move the wire around just to get it working.

Overall Review: I would really have liked a USB to power the cooler. It's nice to be able to power it when it's at a desk, but I move my laptop around a lot and having tons of wires makes life annoying, maybe a 1 foot USB plug and 6 foot power chord.

Pros: Large enough for my giant 17.3'' Asus laptop. I knew I would be using the laptop for gaming and bought the cooler to make sure I could get a long life out of it. The cooling surface is huge and well vented does a great job dispersing heat. VERY well designed

Cons: slight hum but what can you expect from 2 big fans
