Question 1

I was wondering how long the actual cord is. My current mouse has a 6ft cord and its length. And it is perfect for the distance from my tower to my desk position?

I am about 6 ft tall , and when I unplugged the mouse and compared it to myself it was just a bit taller than me. So I'm guessing it is either exactly 6ft or just above.

Question 2

Can i bind my keyboard buttons to the two buttons on the left hand side?

Yes. But you'll have to rebind each time you use different binded keys for different games. I.e. if you have the letters "Z" and "X" binded to the left-side buttons for Game A, but need "Q" and "W" for Game B. You'd have to change the settings in the CM software, or alter the individual in-game settings so that those same keys (letters) are used. Unlike say, the Logitech G700, which will boot game dependent bindings each time you start a different game.

Does this mouse have any kind of LED light or visual indicator as to what DPI setting it is currently set at?

No, the mouse has no LED indicator on it and - to the best of my knowledge - the software drivers do not provide any on-screen notice for when you change DPI.

The configuration software DOES allow you to set what each DPI level is: 800 dpi, 1800 dpi, or 3500 dpi. The steps are pretty drastic so you'll definitely know if you move up or down. You could change it to only have two steps, if you prefer, or you can disable the buttons (Or re-map them) altogether.

Question 4

my current mouse is a razer death adder. great mouse, but the software for it causes serious problems with my keyboard. Tech support narrowed it down to the cloud based driver. Does this mouse have similar software?

No it is a plug and play mouse.... Please be aware that with the led optic device it is overly sensitive and when you pick the mouse up off of the mouse mat it will still register movement... Its not deal breaking for me but it is really annoying so I only use this mouse for my laptop I use a different mouse for my desktop

Can the DPI buttons be binded to do other functions? And does this work with windows 8?

I don't know if the DPI buttons can be bonded for other functions thru the software; however the product works great under windows 8.1 and the software is easy to use. This is really good for claw grip.
