Great price for the amount of RAM.3/22/2013 2:08:09 PM
Pros: 16GB of RAM for under $100.00
Good Speed
Corsair Warranty
Cons: After 9 months of frequent use, 1 of the 4 sticks have died. Corsair offers a great warranty though, and had to RMA the stick and got a replacement back within a week.
Pros: I've been running these sticks for over a year now and I haven't had any issues to report. Rock solid stable. The standard height was exactly what I wanted since I have a large tower heatsink on a micro-ATX motherboard that covers the first RAM slot.
The XMP profile correctly set up frequency and timings to advertised specifications.
Cons: There's nothing negative about these RAM sticks. They work great.
Overall Review: I'm using this memory in an ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z motherboard, even though they are not on the ASUS Qualified Vendor List for this motherboard.
Pros: had no problems with this RAM with an i7 and an ASUS board - it recognized all 16GB from the get go.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Haven't run any benchmarks on this RAM so I can't speak in-depth about its performance, but it works great and hasn't given me any problems. Windows performance rating gave it a 7.8.
Pros: Plug and Play, ran at the right timings and voltage after after enabling XMP.
Lifetime Warranty
Looks great on my P8Z87 Deluxe
Low Profile: Fits under Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK with ease. Due to this the second fan on this cooler now fits, so I can put on the side panel.
Overclocks decent: 1866 MHz @ 1.55v 9-10-9-27 2T
Cons: Green PCB, a black PCB would look a lot better.
Doesn't overclock as well as my previous ram so far. This ram isn't technically made or binned for that but its still disappointing.
Overall Review: Hopefully I will be able to get it overclocked to 2133 MHz like my previous ram without completely ruining the timings.

It's Nice9/5/2012 3:42:30 PM
Pros: It plays nice with my motherboard and CPU and it overclocks well. It's classy and understated unlike...
Cons: ...those crazy RAM modules with all the HR Giger looking heat spreaders. POINTY THINGS MAKE IT GO FASTER!
Overall Review: Have you ever watched a turtle eat a strawberry? Seriously, do it. Try being upset afterwards. I dare you.
Great 16GB RAM Set with Low Profile Heatsinks for Sandy Bridge Motherboards10/10/2011 3:06:40 PM
Pros: I am very happy with this set of RAM. I simply installed the RAM and selected the XMP profile in my BIOS. I have been using this RAM for over a month at its rated OC'd specs without any issues.
1.5V with XMP, perfectly designed for Sandy Bridge motherboards.
This Vengeance LP series is completely identical to the regular Vengeance series. The only thing that is different is the size of the heatsink on the RAM. The LP stands for low profile heatsinks. These are great for fitting under the large CPU heatsinks that are now common.
The OC'd (XMP) specs are 9-9-9-24-2N, 1.5V, DDR3 1600. The timings are pretty good at this speed.
According to Corsair, the Vengeance and Vengeance LP series are better than the XMS series.
Corsair's phone tech support was friendly and helpful.
If you are looking for more reviews, you can read all the Vengeance and Vengeance LP reviews. There is no difference in the actual RAM. The only difference is the size and color of the heatsinks.
Cons: Corsair does not guarantee two kits of RAM to work together. So if you want four sticks of RAM to for sure work at full OC'd specs you need to buy a kit of four, not two kits of two.
This is just a superficial con, but I wish they offered red heatsinks in this series to match my current motherboard color scheme.
It would alleviate so much confusion for buyer's who don't know how OC'd RAM works if manufacturers would start listing how OC'd RAM works on the packaging and in the details. This is something all RAM manufacturers are guilty of. Unfortunately, it seems that many system builders don't understand how OC'd RAM works, so they assume there is a problem with the RAM when there isn't. Many OC'd RAM sets have less than five egg ratings from system builders who don't understand that OC'd RAM needs to be setup in the RAM. See "Other thoughts" for details on how OC'd RAM works and how it needs to be set up.
Overall Review: For those who don't know how OC'd RAM works. It is usually set to run at JEDEC (non-OC) speed out of the box. You have to go into the BIOS and manually set the bandwidth, timings, voltage, and command rate, or select XMP (if you have a MB and RAM that both support XMP) to get it to run at the advertised OC'd speed. If you are not familiar with setting up OC'd RAM call the manufacturer.

I don't have to trim heat sinks8/7/2011 12:50:19 PM
Pros: Works as well as the Corsair Vengeance with the tall heat sinks that cause a slot to be blocked with one of the large cpu coolers (and the are lots of those). Tall heatsinks are in my grandson's PC and we use the same Coolermaster 212 Hyper Plus cpu cooler. I could use all four slots with no trouble.
Cons: Doesn't look like a frightened porcupine.
Overall Review: Might not be the choice for maximum overclockers.
Pros: 16GB of RAM for under $100.00 Good Speed Corsair Warranty
Cons: After 9 months of frequent use, 1 of the 4 sticks have died. Corsair offers a great warranty though, and had to RMA the stick and got a replacement back within a week.
Overall Review: RAM was not overclocked.
