Well, it works well on a 3900x and the model number indicates that its ryzen compatible. check your motherboards QVL for further information or contact its manufacturer before you take my "Yes, it'll work." I do believe you should be fine though. As far as the type of die used, I cannot say for certain. even the corsair rep didn't know when I asked that question.

Is this compatible with ryzen 3600/3600x and msi X570 motherboard ?

Yes, I have a 3700x and msi X570 it and worked great, just make sure your bios settings get configured to actually run the RAM at 3600Mhz

well the quick answer is 2 8 GB sticks of RAM for any new motherboard.
the more technical and not so short way to answer this oddly wide open would be to give you a link but it's not allowed to RAM timing & speed so I will give you a search, google this "ddr ram speeds explained"
here is a short synopsis this is faster than normal DDR4 but not the fastest this would be in the middle. All motherboards have the entry level at what the data transfer and the MAX  level at what the data transfer.  look at is DDR4 3600 vs DDR4 2400 one is faster than the other.
