Pros: LED lit.
The sleekest looking RAM there is.
Amazing speed with room to OC.
Solid and extremely high quality weight/feel.
Glorious Heatsinks.
Cons: It's as expensive as it looks and feels...worth every penny though!
Overall Review: For the price premium there should be more interchangeable colors to choose from.
When I purchased back in May, this kit was only $10 more than the 2133MHz kit...kind of a no-brainer when you're already spending $200+ on RAM.
Pros: When you pick up the package that holds 2 DIMMs you know this is some quality memory. And I was pleasantly surprised that they have two white LEDs on each DIMM that are shielded behind the silver bar across the fins. So it isn't super bright but you know the chips are properly seated.
Cons: The silver bar over the fins make the memory a bit tall but they still conform to Intel's standard for motherboard profiles. I have an ASUS Z97-Delux that reads the right model number for these chips, but runs them at 1333 instead of 2400. Tuning the board to override so that they are at 2400 had no ill effects. I ran a 24hr memory test with no instability or problems.
Pros: I can't believe I actually paid over $250 for a set of ram but these were worth the premium price. My system feels more balanced and powerful. Currently running at 1866Mhz 1.65v 9-9-9-24 timings on an Asus Z97-A mb with an i7 4790K at 4.8Ghz (L3 batch).
Cons: Expensive
Overall Review: These are by far the best looking and heaviest ram that I have ever owned. The led's look awesome beside my blue glowing Enermax 120s cpu cooler.
Sizzling speed for overclocking ram!8/6/2013 2:50:25 PM
Pros: Extremely fast ram! you don't need to buy anything else. If you want to future proof, here's the way to go.
Total performance when overclocking.
Beautiful look when installed
Cons: Very High Priced, too much for the faint of heart. But if money is not an object....
Overall Review: Only buy this ram if your into overclocking, pc tinkering or if you absolutely need to 3d model, render drawings or running VM's.
Pros: Pretty lights. Pretty fast. 7.9 in the Windows Experience assessment. Not that Windows knows anything.
Cons: Expensive, but I expect quality to be expensive.
Overall Review: I actually installed 4 sticks of this memory in a replacement build using a 1150 Asus board and a 4770k Intel CPU. So the machine is running 32gb of RAM.
I have always used Corsair memory in my builds and they haven't let me down yet.
Pros: High Speed with good timings. This I have had this ram for about 6months with no issues. It is a high end 16GB(8x2) set of ram for high end computers.
Pros: Able to push to 2400Mhz per spec, but couldn't use X.M.P. Not the fault of the sticks, but my i73930k
Very nice clean look and zero memtest issues.
Cons: A tad bit expensive, but we know what we are buying
