CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMD4GX3M2A1600C8

Pros: This memory performs like a champ - it registers a 7.6 out of 7.9 on the Windows Experience Index. Out of the box, it runs at standard SPD speeds of DDR3-1333 @ 9-9-9-24 and what people need to understand is that the DDR3-1600 label is just a guarantee from Corsair that the modules will operate at a higher speed. But that means that you have to set that speed - and with this RAM it couldn't be easier. On my Gigabyte P55M-UD2 board, I just had to enable XMP in the BIOS and everything adjusted automatically. Another great resource from Corsair is the Labs link on their website that tests overclocks on various modules on various motherboards and posts screenshots of the BIOSes - definitely something to check out. Did I mention how great they feel and look - the heatsinks aren't taped on like with some other manufacturers.

Cons: No cons at all - these worked absolutely perfectly - but if you do have problems, make sure you've updated your BIOS.

Overall Review: I got these on sale on Black Friday, and even though they were still slightly more expensive than a set from G.Skill, I went with the Corsair brand. You really can't go wrong with Corsair, and this being my first build, they've definitely got a lifelong customer. Needless to say, Newegg's already got a lifelong customer here - thanks. Pros: I picked this up on black friday with a regular discount, combo discount, and a MIR, so the price was right. This ram looks nice in any system. It is taller ram, but it did not conflict with my coolermaster V8 cooler on my MOBO. Once I got it to the right speed and timings it has been very reliable and ran through 8 hours of prime95 without any issues.

Cons: Getting this ram to the correct settings was a little tricky at first without having a large OC on my i5, might just be my MOBO bios. This ram seems overly priced when its not on a major sale. Does anyone know why the price of RAM tripled in the past 3 months?

Pros: This is my second review, in the first review I had stated that I couldn't get the ram to run @ 1600 mhz. After a week of playing with the bios I finally achieved the specified settings. I had to set the timings to dram timing mode set to Both, mem clock @ 800mhz, TCL @ 8, TRCD @ 8, TRP @ 8, and the TRAS @ 24. I also had to set the Memory Overvoltage @ 1.65v, while leaving everything else on auto. This memory is blazing fast once timings are set to the correct parameters. I ordered another set that should arrive on Monday.

Cons: none.

Pros: When you set the speed of this ram to 1600 you really can't go wrong. I will be buying 4 more gigs this week. Everything has been running great for a couple of weeks now.

Pros: Works at advertised speed and timing with no noticed stability issues. What more could you ask?

Cons: Seems like good memory so far.

Pros: My earlier review faulted this memory for its high cost and apparently slow latency numbers. I have since learned that the latency numbers are a factor of the DDR3 design and not a fault in this particular memory.

Cons: It is still expensive, but not enough to rate taking off an entire egg.

Overall Review: I have just ordered more for my next build.

Pros: Very fast. Remain cool under taxing conditions due to quality heatspreaders.

Cons: Tall! Beware, you may have clearance issues, especially w/ large aftermarket CPU coolers. The Zalman CNPS10X Quiet hangs over the first memory slot on my ASUS P7P55D EVO motherboard, and there is no way to position the cooler so it doesn't interfere with both the first RAM slot or the first PCIe video card slot.

Overall Review: do not buy these if you are on a 32 bit OS!!!!
