Hi, I currently am running 2 sticks of what I am 99% sure is this ram (8 gigs, looks exactly the same, clocks and timings the same speed in cpuz, purchased in an ibuypower pc about 3-4 years ago). I've heard tell of corsair sticks not playing nice with each other. I am wondering if purchasing a second set to double the capacity would just be plug and play? or will I have to fight with the computer to get it to use all 4 sticks?

In your bios settings you can cut down the settings to where the higher stick will run with the lower stick with little to no issue.  If you want to have higher speeds and are worried about the sockets not performing to the stick standards then you need to buy a new set.  Memory will work fine if you have different manufactures and different ratings, but you have to set that up in your bios. Its fairly simple.

I have an ASUS Sabretooth X58 motherboard. Will this RAM work if I purchase it? I have had experience with purchasing other RAM and it not being registered by the computer.

Go check the motherboard specs on the ASUS website. It has a list of CPUs and approved ram that will work with it. The important part is to make sure that the CPU you have installed can work with DDR3-1333 and that the motherboard (and its chipset) can accept, recognize and work with that speed ram as well.

Best thing to do to be sure if it is compatible or not is look in the mother boards RAM compatibility chart either on line or in your motherboard book. I have an Asuse mini ITX board so I am not comfortable in answering a for sure yes or no

Newegg says pc3 10600, is it 10600 or 10666?... right now on product page it has it at 10600 desktop memory model

It's technically PC3 10666 the 10600 is rounding of the bandwidth, and can be seen from different manufacturers as PC3 10600, 10666, or 10700. They are all DDR3 1333 memory.

Question 9

I am trying to increase RAM to 16 GB.  I presently have 8 GB installed on DIMM 0 banks 1 and 3.  However, it is revision 8.11.  I just received this identical 8GB of RAM but I see that it is revision 7.21.  Will they work together?

I was able to combine 2 2GB sticks with 2 4GB sticks (all Corsair, for a total of 12GB) which had different timings. As I recall, I had to fiddle with my BIOS memory setting to get them to play nice - I can't remember now exactly what I had to do, but I think it involved setting the timings down to the lowest value. YMMV, but I think you should be ok.

Does this ram overclock?

It does, (technically all RAM can be overclocked , the variation is by how much and how stable it is once done) this particular model, in my experience, does not overclock by very much nor is it very stable when overclocked. I recommend Gskill, I've yet to find a brand that is as consistently overclockable as Gskill is and I buy a lot of RAM.
